HHH (120.24) vs Pack Attack (94.30)
This was a big win for HHH as they move to 3-5 on the season and stop their 4 game losing streak! They put up their best scoring week since week 3 and now will be looking to get themselves back into playoff contention over the next couple of weeks. They haven’t been playing as bad as their record may show given they have consistently been scoring over 100 points with week 5 being the one week they failed to get there. J Daniels looks like a superstar (did you see that hail mary? Of course you did!) and with Nabers / Gibbs / Barkley I think this team has a real shot at making a run. For Pack Attack well…. this team is bad. They finally looked like they found a player that wasn’t hurt and was going to be a bright spot for them in T. Tracy as he was looking amazing last night with 145 rushing yards and a TD and then someone reminded him that he played for the Pack Attack team and he instantly went to the blue injury tent!
16hrs Ahead of You!! (145.29) vs Starrfavrerodg (127.32)
16hrs ahead of you (7-1) moves their win streak to 5 games in a row with an impressive win over Starrfavrerodg! 16hrs has scored over 100 points each week so far and has had all but one week be over 122 points! This win however might have been the most impressive as they had just lost two of their best players (Godwin & M Evans) due to injury and they still came out and scored 145 points thanks to nice games from C. Otton (25.05) and K. Murray (24.41). This team looks legit and seems like a team that will be battling for their first ever championship come playoff time! Starrfavrerodg falls to 3-5 on the season with their 3rd straight loss but at least this time they put up a fight against the best team in the league and outscored their Yahoo projection by 40 points! The last two weeks had been horrible for them as they combined to score 133.41 in those two weeks and this week they almost matched that with 127.32. They will be hoping that means better days are ahead of them but right now they are just looking ahead to see if they have already played Pack Attack? Bummer for them they already have!
Big Papa (100.36) vs Rapids Plungers (94.17)
Big Papa has had a weird year so far as they started off so strong with three straight wins followed that with 4 straight losses and this week they came away with a huge win to not only break the losing streak but also beat one of the teams just ahead of them in the standings! It wasn’t pretty as they had one starter who failed to score a single point but they were able to get just over that 100 point mark and that was all that was needed this week. B. Robinson (19.35) was the leader for the team this week and he is starting to look more and more like the RB he expected when he picked him at #2 overall. Will this win start them on their way to another winning streak? Rapids Plungers (4-4) falls to .500 on the season and it feels like it has been a bit of a grind for them the past 4 weeks as they have lost 3 of their last 4 and have had two weeks where they failed to put up 100 points. Losing R. Rice and N. Collins to injury and then the poor play of J. Mason lately is not helping things. Collins should be back in a couple of weeks which will really help this team as they look to get back on track!
BIGBOY! (163.69) vs teamAlaska (108.60)
Don’t look now but BIGBOY! is making their move from the bottom of the standings to a playoff team and maybe more! They started off the season with 4 straight losses and failed to score 100 points in the first three games. Since that time their lowest scoring game was 109 points and they just put up their best outing of the season this week with 163 points! They had 5 players score over 19 points! L. McConkey lead the way with 28.55! Outside of 16hrs this is the hottest team in the league right now and they will be looking to keep things going against HHH next week. For teamAlaska they fall to 3-5 on the season and are looking to just try and stay afloat and hopefully make a push for the playoffs over the final 6 weeks! Aiyuk being lost for the season really hurts them but they do have some pieces to work with in Achane, Chase and Stroud! Those three are going to have to lead the way down the stretch if they are going to make a playoff run!
Bossman (157.15) vs Sportsfreak (151.54)
Ah.. I see that the annoying Bossman team that we are all used to seeing came back to life the last two weeks! They just find ways to win games and be just slightly better they you are that week! Last week over HHH by 2 points and scoring 108 to win it. This week by 6 points over Sportsfreak in a shootout and they score 157. They just find ways to win these close games and now they are right back where we are used to seeing them which is at or near the top of the standings. They moved to 5-3 on the season with their 3rd win in a row! They took full advantage of it being National TE day as they had Pitts (20.55) and McBride (20.20) starting for them and performing really well. It seems inevitable that this Bossman team is once again going to be battling for a super bowl trophy come December! Sportsfreak falls to 4-4 despite having their 2nd best scoring week of the year! Sometimes it is more about who you play and when then how good your team is and that was the case this week as they were the third highest scoring team! The good news is that this team has been playing far better then their record shows as they have scored the second most points in the league and that will come in really handy come playoff tiebreaker time! It’s been 6 years since Sportsfreak has had a playoff team but right now this team definitely looks like a playoff team to me!
pack slayer (132.41) vs DaUnderdog (93.62)
We have 3 teams that have been really making their move up the leaderboard the last few weeks and pack slayer is one of them as they move to 5-3 on the season with their 3rd straight win and winning 4 out of their last 5 games. Last weeks win was more lucky then good as they scored 92 points in the win against Big Papa but this week they put up their second highest point total of the season in taking down one of the top teams in the league in DaUnderdog. They were led this week by J. Mixon’s 24 points but they also had 5 other players score in double figures and that was enough this week to get win # 5 and vault them all the way up to #4 in the standings! Getting Kupp back and now Tua back throwing the ball to Hill and this teams upside looks much better! DaUnderdog falls to 6-2 on the season with now back to back losses! This loss however was a bit more concerning as they failed to score 100 points for the first time all season. It didn’t help that both J. Love and D. Samuel left their games early due to injury but even with that they likely weren’t winning this game as the rest of their players struggled to score points. There is the injury issues I mentioned and then some upcoming bye weeks that this team will need to attend to over the course of the next few weeks but overall they should be fine!
PackerFANatic7 (150.23) vs U Don’t Know (108.95)
PackerFANatic7 gets the big win to move to 3-5 on the season and I think they finally just said enough is enough and figured if they go out and score 150 points they cant lose right!? If I was to award a team as the “Most Unlucky” through 8 weeks PackerFANatic7 would be one of the top contenders as they are 3-5 despite the fact that they have scored over 100 points in each game this season! They had a 3 game losing streak coming into the week despite scoring 138, 132 and 114 during those three games! This is a lot better team then their record says and they showed it this week with all but two positions not scoring in double figures! If their luck can change, watch for this team to make a run here. U Don’t Know falls to 3-5 on the season with their 2nd straight loss. They didn’t really have a chance in this one as PackerFANatic7 dominated and they didn’t have anyone outside of Kittle (23.40) that seem to come to play this week. At 3-5 however they are still very much in the mix and just need to get on a bit of a run here to get back into playoff contention.
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
