Rapids Plungers (128.79) vs Pack Attack (116.32)
We now have a new team atop the standings! It’s a team that needs no introduction as they are used to be at or near the top and it is Rapids Plungers as they move to 6-2 on the season thanks to a nice win over Pack Attack (3-5). Every year there is this team, the team that has scored a lot of points but not the wins to show for it. Well you always just hope that you are not that team but unfortunately for Pack Attack that’s exactly the team they are right now!
Bossman (148.85) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (106.07)
Yep, I am officially impressed. This Bossman team looked horrible to start the season having lost their first 4 and here we are 4 weeks later and they are back to .500 after having won 4 in a row. I am convinced that they were getting bored with the regular season and thought it would be a fun challenge to lose the first 4 games and then see if they can still make the playoffs after that! Well… they are now in the 7th spot for playoff positioning so they are almost there! 16hrs on the other hand falls to 2-6 and has lost 3 straight. They need to get things going starting next week!
Big Papa (115.59) vs pack slayer (82.29)
Big Papa (3-5) gets the much needed win this week over pack slayer (4-4). Big Papa has lost some close ones this year but this was a super important week as they didn’t want to fall to 2-6. Incase someone needs a reminder but 8-6 will historically speaking get you into the playoffs. 7-7… I would say it is 50% at best and if you get to 8 losses you are not getting hence the importance for Big Papa. pack slayer did good last week but then they do this and once again fail to score 100 points. Just like I mentioned every year there is a team that scores a lot but doesn’t win there seems to be a team that on the reverse of that doesn’t score much but finds ways to win. That’s pack slayer through 8 weeks. Can they change that narrative moving forward?
BIGBOY! (121.72) vs Sportsfreak (90.10)
The Lindgren brother battle is complete and once again the little brother comes out on top! This has to be getting a bit frustrating for Sportsfreak as they just can’t seem to win against BIGBOY! They have never yet won a championship and the main reason for that? This BIGBOY! team! They have been to 3 super bowls losing all three with two of those losses coming against BIGBOY! The little brother is literally the reason they don’t have their name on that trophy yet and while I would like to think the coach of BIGBOY! would be humble enough and understand that this could be a somewhat depressing thing to deal with for Sportsfreak I really don’t think he cares. Could there be another playoff or even Super Bowl rematch coming for these two… they are both 6-2 sitting atop the league! I sure hope we see it again!
DaUnderdog (94.59) vs Starrfavrerodg (89.03)
It wasn’t pretty but DaUnderdog (5-3) finds a way for their 5th win of the season and puts Starrfavrerodg (2-6) in a position where they need to win likely all of their remaining games if they want to get into the playoffs. It wasn’t surprising, because it happens almost every week for Starrfavrerodg but their game came down to the Monday nighter. DaUnderdog got a great performance from T Kelce (17.30) and D Samuel (4.22) and J Lane (1) for Starrfavrerodg couldn’t do anything which means DaUnderdog escapes with a 5 point win.
PackerFANatic7 (121.03) vs HHH (85.71)
It has been a bit of a struggle this year again for PackerFANatic7 (3-5) but they finally got the much needed 3rd win and in doing so breaking that 4 game losing streak. The next two games however may determine the fate of their season as they go up against Rapids Plungers and BIGBOY! Lose two and they are all but done. Win one and you still have a shot. Win both and the playoffs start looking like a high possibility! HHH (5-3) drops their third straight game after starting the season at 5-0. First five weeks HHH scored over 100 points each week. Last three weeks, HHH has failed to reach that 100 point mark? Injuries play a part and they are still in a good spot through 8 games but they need to wake up soon.
U Don’t Know (119.54) vs teamAlaska (114.42)
What a game this one turned out to be as U Don’t Know comes away with win #5 on the season and their 3rd in a row! This one came down to the Monday nighter and it went back and forth but ultimately U Don’t Know was able to hold on thanks to a solid game from the KC defense. U Don’t Know is quietly moving their way up the leaderboard as they are not sitting in 4th place and but of the playoff teams they are only behind Rapids Plungers in scoring so they would move up quickly if they keep winning and it comes to tie breakers. teamAlaska (2-6) falls to 2-6 and drops their 5th game in a row. They put up a good fight and for a little while it looked like they were going to get the W but then T Kraft (31.15) went off in the Sun night game and that opened the door for U Don’t Know to get the win. teamAlaska is going to need to get some things rolling and quickly!
