BIGBOY! (2-0) vs Pack Attack (1-1)
Through the first two weeks of the season this BIGBOY! team looks legit! It is however interesting how good a team can look one week and then how bad the next but given their lineup I don’t expect a lot of bad weeks from this team. They do have a bit of injury concerns as D. Johnson didn’t practice Wednesday and is questionable as well as the newly aquired E. Engram who did get in a limited practice yesterday so that bodes well for his chances. Pack Attack had a good game last week but they are going to need more then Kyler Murray if they want to win this one.

16hrs Ahead of You!! (2-0) vs Big Papa (1-1)
I mentioned it in the recap but we have to go all the way back to the 2012 season to find the last time that 16hrs started out a season at 2-0. 16hrs was there in the beginning when this league was formed he was one of the original 8 teams. He missed one season (2007) no idea why… probably busy chasing women or something but the last time that 16hrs won started out the season better then 2-0 was in that inaugural year of 2004!! That year he started out the season 3-0 and made the playoffs! Hard not to root for 16hrs in this one! For Big Papa, they will be looking to put week 2 behind them and get back into the win column! They will have a motivated 16hrs team to contend with this week!
Prediction:
This will likely be a close game and it sure would help 16hrs if J. Jacobs is able to go! This may come down to another Monday night matchup as 16hrs has Zeke playing monday. With everything I mentioned above I don’t see 16hrs losing this one. I got them winning and getting to that 3-0 mark for the first time since 2004!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 17
- Record: Advantage Big Papa at 11-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage Big Papa 116.95 to 100.93
Bossman (1-1) vs U Don’t Know (0-2)
Bossman is coming off their first loss of the season last week and U Don’t Know will be searching for that first win. Bossman’s success has been mentioned often and it is rare to see them fall into any type of losing streak so unfortunately that doesn’t bode well for U Don’t Know! There are a lot of ?’s next to players in this one so who plays and who doesn’t could make a big difference here. U Don’t Know could be getting back OBJ this week which would be a big help for a team that doesn’t want to start out defending their title with three straight losses.
Prediction:
U Don’t Know has some home run hitters on their team however they have yet to all put it together and have a big week. I expect it is however just a matter of time before that happens and I actually like there chances this week. I think U Don’t Know gets their first win of the season and sends Bossman to back to back losses!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 11
- Record: Advantage Bossman at 9-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 129.82 to 114.30
teamAlaska(1-1) vs DaUnderdog (1-1)
It’s the brother battle! We have a fair amount of these games throughout the season but this is the first one of the season. Both of these teams are coming off big wins a week ago and will be looking to keep the momentum going this week. Both of these teams saw their star RB’s struggle in week 1 (A. Jones and D. Henry) only to have them “totally redeem themselves” by leading their teams to victory in week 2. DaUnderdog continues to chase last weeks points with their D player again this week. If you don’t know what that is it means that you go on the free agent pool, search the position you are wanting to fill / replace, sort by points scored last week and pick up the guy who had a big game. Week 1, Chandler Jones go off for 40.60 points. DaUnderdog picks him up for week 2 in which he has 0.00 points. DaUnderog drops C. Jones and picks up Roquan Smith who scored 25 points in week 2. Will that strategy work better this week? Maybe.. but that my friends is what you call chasing last weeks points!
Prediction:
I think this could be a close game but I have a hard time believing that D. Prescott has another week like he did last week. I think Prescott and their trio of WR’s put up close to 70 points by themselves and they should lead teamAlaska to victory again this week. However, if you look at the history when these two have played it is very heavy towards DaUnderdog and the 12 wins is their most against any other team in the league!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 17
- Record: Advantage DaUnderdog at 12-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage DaUnderdog 110.58 to 95.09
HHH (2-0) vs Sportsfreak (0-2)
We have talked about BIGBOY! and we have talked about 16hrs but there is one other team that has won their first two games and that is HHH! They haven’t done it in dominating fashion but winning no matter how you do is what matters. This team over the course of the past 4 seasons has been really solid and has always seem to put a solid team out there each and every week. Sporstfreak on the other hand is the complete opposite as they have really struggled to find ways to win games really over the past 3 seasons. Can Sportsfreak find a way to get their first win of the season or will HHH remain one of the undefeated!?
Prediction:
Sportsfreak is really going to need J. Allen to have a more Josh Allen like game or this one could get out of hand quickly. The games really seem to favor HHH in this one as R. Wilson against a Vikings D that just got shredded by K. Murray and D. Cook who is up against a Seattle team that gave up 182 yards and 3 TD’s to D. Henry. It is hard to overlook that and I expect HHH to keep cruising their way to win #3 on the season.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 19
- Record: Advantage Sportsfreak at 10-9
- PPG Avg: Advantage HHH 116.85 to 116.23
pack slayer (1-1) vs Rapids Plungers (1-1)
Both of these teams are coming off tough losses where I am sure they felt as though they should have won. Rapids Plungers like Bossman rarely finds themselves in any type of losing streak so they will be looking to get back on track. Rapids Plungers made the quick change at QB as they moved on from Winston and will turn the reins over to T. Bridgewater at least for this week. pack slayer is going to be looking for a much better week from both T. Hill and CEH as they struggled a week ago.
Prediction:
As of this writing the Yahoo prediction for this game has pack slayer winning by .02 points. Now that would be a fun game! I am not sure I see it the same way in regards to how close this will be. I do agree that pack slayer comes away with the win but I think they win by 11.23 points. Put it on the board! pack slayer with win #2. Interesting thing to note is that Rapids Plungers has a winning record against every team in the league except two. pack slayer is one of those two and I expect that to continue this week!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 10
- Record: Advantage pack slayer at 6-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 132.20 to 111.10
PackerFANatic7 (1-1) vs Starrfavrerodg (0-2)
PackerFANatic7 is still riding high from that great win last week! They will look to keep that momentum going against an angry Starrfavrerodg team that has played ok but has 0 wins to show for it. I write about this a lot and it no doubt happens every year but for each team there is usually a game or sometimes multiple games where if your player had caught that TD pass or maybe you left that guy who scored 20 points on your bench that week and lost. In a deep and usually competitive league like this those potential wins could play a huge factor in whether or not your team makes the playoffs. Also every year there seems to be a team or two that really gets the short end of that stick and through two weeks that winner is Starrfavrerodg. Now the question is can they forgot those two tough losses and come back strong!? We will find out soon enough.
Prediction:
It’s really hard not to like L. Jackson and M. Brown this week for PackerFANatic7 as they go up against a depleted Lions secondary coming off a Monday night road game. Starrfavrerodg is going to need DK Metcalf to get going a bit and hope that inserting W. Fuller into his starting lineup will be enough for them to get a W. I am not sure I see it happening and I once again could see this coming down to the wire. I like PackerFANatic7 to get win #2 on the season!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 1
- Record: Advantage PackerFANatic7 at 1-0
- PPG Avg: Advantage PackerFANatic7 121.09 to 119.79
