pack slayer (160.60) vs Pack Attack (127.36)
pack slayer gets the big win here to move to 4-3 on the season and send Pack Attack to their 5th loss on the season. Why was this such a big win? #1 this is a game they were favored to win and when you are hovering around .500 and looking to make a move these are the type of games you need. #2 it was big because they had yet to string together back to back wins all season until now! After their 93 point outing back in Week 5 they have had two great weeks by scoring 146 and 160 respectively. This is a team that is going to go as far as Stafford and Kupp take them and right now that looks like it could be a long ways!
16hrs Ahead of You!! (138.93) vs HHH (116.50)
16hrs ahead of you! gets back in the win column and breaks that 3 game losing streak thanks in large part to a 44.05 point effort from J. Chase! 16hrs moves to 4-3 on the season and this was a really nice win for them as they had arguably their top 3 players on a bye so to come away with a win after having lost three straight is huge! For HHH, they fall to 3-4 on the season and have lost 4 of their last 5 games. They put up a solid amount of points despite D. Cook and R. Wilson being on the bench. At 3-4 they are right in the mix but they need to find a way to get some wins here until R. Wilson returns.
Big Papa (99.37) vs DaUnderdog (58.73)
I didn’t see this one coming and by that I mean I didn’t see Big Papa winning by 40 while only scoring 99 points! For Big Papa this moves them to 2-5 and keeps their season alive. Remember we have an extra game so for those of you struggling out of the gate you still have some hope. I am not sure what happened to DaUnderdog (4-3) other then they had 4 players score under two points this week and when one of those is your QB you usually are not going to win and you just might only score 58 points! DaUnderdog will be looking forward to next week and putting this UGLY performance behind them!
Bossman (134.87) vs BIGBOY! (122.87)
Bossman (6-1) takes care of business in this one and hands BIGBOY (6-1) their first loss of the season! That is the good news for Bossman but I have to say if there was ever an impressive loss this might be it. BIGBOY! was without 5 regular starters, decided it wasn’t worth dropping TJ Watt (took a 0 at the D position) and STILL they put up 122 points and gave the #2 team in the league a run for their money! A lot can happen over the course of the next 7 games but despite their identical 6-1 records BIGBOY! still is the team to beat!
U Don’t Know (144.16) vs PackerFANatic7 (105.26)
Talk about big wins, I am not sure there was any win more important this week then U Don’t Know getting this win here against PackerFANatic7. They have now won two of their last three games to move to 2-5 on the season and are showing some signs of life. Also, based on current records the second half of their season looks to be much easier. The reigning champ will be looking to sneak up the leaderboards over the course of the next few weeks! PackerFANatic7 falls to 3-4 on the season and now have lost two games in a row. I talked about this some already but this team doesn’t seem to know what they want to be… a good team, a bad team, a mediocre team, a great team! I have seen all of these so far as they looked like a great team for weeks 4 and 5 but they followed that up by looking like a bad team in weeks 6 and 7. Make up your mind would you!?
teamAlaska (120.02) vs Rapids Plungers (103.37)
Both teams came into this week without some of their stars due to the bye weeks but both teams came out and played relatively well as they both eclipsed the 100 point mark. What was missing from both of these teams was that big 30 point game to put them over the top. teamAlaska however had enough players get into double digits (4) and found enough consistency across the entire team to sneak out a nice win! The win moves teamAlaska to an impressive 5-2 on the season and they are currently sitting all alone in 3rd place. They have won 4 straight games and will be looking to keep things rolling against a suddenly hot Sportsfreak team next week. For Rapids Plungers things started out like they usually do for a team used to winning as they started 2-1. Since then, they have lost 4 straight games and I think reeling would be a good word to use. This team likes a challenge and maybe all of those years of it seemingly coming easy to get to the playoffs has them wanting to take a different path. Well, that different path has been laid out now lets see what you do with it?
Sportsfreak (154.53) vs Starrfavrerodg (97.26)
Don’t look now but there is a team that is surging up the rankings over the past couple of weeks. That team is Sportsfreak as they now move to 3-4 on the season and have moved all the way up to the #8 spot in the league. Their 154 points this week is a good week but it is a GREAT week considering that they were without J. Allen (bye) and D. Waller (injury). They seem to be hitting their stride at the right time and will be hoping to keep this momentum going for the second half of the season. For Starrfavrerodg well it is pretty much the complete opposite of Sportsfreak as they have struggled the past two weeks (both losses). They failed to score 100 points this week and barely got over that (101pts) last week. Bye weeks and injuries have been hurting them but the momentum they had built up during their three game winning streak is now gone! Can they start another run next week? Not sure, but I can tell you it won’t be easy as they go up against Bossman!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
