Sportsfreak (121.48) vs Pack Attack (70.25)
Sportsfreak (2-0) is off to their best start since the 2017 season which coincidentally is the last time they have made the playoffs! That is good news for Sportsfreak. It was relatively easy this week as they started the week off with Herbert / Williams combining for 52 points on Thursday night. Those two ended up being their two top scorers on the week but the win was never in doubt as Pack Attack (0-2) never put up much of a fight. Yes, it’s week 2 but when you have given up the second most points in the league and you have scored the second least amount of points and you just finished a week when your kicker was your highest scoring player at 10.40 points…. well panic sets in real quick!
teamAlaska (140.02) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (100.02)
teamAlaska moves to 2-0 on the season with a nice win against 16hrs who falls to 0-2. teamAlaska now sits on the top of the leaderboard and yes I know it is only week 2 but it is always fun to call it out when someone new gets there because you never know how the rest of the season may go! teamAlaska has been ultra consistent through 2 weeks as they scored 144 in week 1 and 140 this week. L. Jackson (48.29) and N. Chubb (28.10) led the way for them and the scary part is that they scored 140 and only got 8 points from J. Jefferson and Jeudy left early on in the game and only scored 1 point. This seems like a team that has some staying power. 16hrs fell to the dreaded 0-2 hole and really have not been able to get much going so far this season. They are going to need D. Henry to start looking like last years D. Henry if they want to turn this thing around.
Big Papa (123.38) vs BIGBOY! (62.96)
In the first of two Father-Son games this week it is the Father who comes out on top as Big Papa moves to 2-0 on the season with a dominating win. This is one of those wins that can really move your team forward if you are Big Papa and quite honestly can be detrimental if you are BIGBOY! as it seems his team may have some real BIGBOY type problems right now. Losing to a team by 60 points is bad BUT losing to a team by 60 points when that team had two starters who didn’t score a point AND to top it off it is your Dad’s team…. that’s borderline embarrassing! BIGBOY! will get the chance to redeem themselves next week against their brother who happens to be undefeated while Big Papa gets to take on the current top dog in the league in teamAlaska.
Bossman (166.53) vs Starrfavrerodg (114.11)
There it is! Bossman (1-1) gets their first win of the season and now just need to win one more game over the course of the rest of the season to double up the Yahoo projection for this team! Think they can do it? That is about as sarcastic of a statement as I could make because not only do I think they can do it they are making everyone look somewhat silly for questioning their ability to draft a quality team. This week they were the highest scoring team in the league and are doing it with different people. Last week it was J. Taylor who had a big game and the rest of the team was solid but they didn’t quite have enough. This week it was T. Hill (43.10), K. Murray (21.41), M. Andrews (25.40) and C. Kirk (21.90) who all led the team to victory! It is worth noting that they put up 166 points while J. Taylor had what could quite possibly be his lowest scoring game of the season with 5 points. Every year there is a team that gets “unlucky” or some would say has the worst defense in the league! This year so far things haven’t quite went Starrfavrerodg’s way as they fall to 0-2 on the season and have given up the most amount of points through two weeks. It’s always tough losing your first two games and for Starrfavrerodg if only there was a player out there who could have scored 51 points and helped win this game! Oh wait… I think I may have found that player… yep, he is on their bench as Tua scored 51.45 points this week but they don’t count! That’s frustrating and you know what now Starrfavrerodg is left with a decision every week of which player to start… the guy that is ranked higher every week and they drafted to lead their team or the guy that this one time had 6TD’s and scored 51 points! Good luck!
DaUnderdog (147.23) vs pack slayer (109.28)
The reigning champ, DaUnderdog is coming out strong as they move to 2-0 on the season. It is always difficult for a team to repeat the success they had after a championship season but so far DaUnderdog is up to the challenge as they easily took down pack slayer who falls to 0-2. DaUnderdog got the win last week in a close one and this weeks game technically came down to last nights games but J. Allen closed the door rather quickly as he had 36 points last night. J. Waddle also was outstanding this week for DaUnderdog as he put up 42.15 points on the week! They will be looking to keep things going next week as they go up against the winless HHH squad. pack slayer hasn’t played that bad so far this season as they scored over 100 points each week but they have yet to be able to find a way to get in the win column. They have some solid pieces and it seems like CMC is just ramping up for a big explosion kind of game that we are used to seeing from him but for now this team is left with no wins to show for it and needing to find a way to get a win!
PackerFANatic7 (151.27) vs HHH (105.55)
The second of the Father-Son matchup this week goes a bit different then the first as in this one it was the Son taking down the Father as PackerFANatic7 moves to 1-1 on the season and sends HHH to a 0-2 start. I talked about it on the preview how PackerFANatic7 lost a major weapon in D. Prescott and then they go out and find C. Wentz on the waiver wire and he puts up 31 points for them! That’s some solid GM work right there! They also got huge games from A. St. Brown (36.33) and A. Jones (30.70) to lead their team to their first win of the season. HHH (0-2) got Lazard back this week and he scored a TD so that was good news but they are going to need Kittle and Pittman Jr to get back into this lineup in order for them to start feeling better about their situation and the good news for them is that they both have a chance to be back this week. This was a nice win for PackerFANatic7 and unless they meet in the playoffs the bragging rights for this season go to PackerFANatic7!
U Don’t Know (147.30) vs Rapids Plungers (102.14)
Of all the week 2 scores this one in particular surprises me and it is not just because I expected Rapids Plungers to win but it is because of the amount of points that U Don’t Know was able to put up despite T. Brady having a tough game which I mentioned in the preview leading up to this game. Diggs (42.40) came to play however which helped lead this team but really what made the difference was a 51.60 points combined from their K, DEF and D position! That is huge points from positions that you just hope can find a way to contribute each and every week! Rapids Plungers (1-1) didn’t have the game that I expected from them coming into the week as outside of J. Hurts (31.46) and M. Thomas (15.25) there wasn’t a lot to be excited about here. G. Davis was out due to injury and their are some up and coming rookie WR’s on their bench just waiting for their shot so if they can find some production out of their RB spot they should be just fine. U Don’t Know now sits at 2-0 on the season and have looked solid through the first two weeks. They will look to keep things rolling as they go up against the highest scoring team in the league in Bossman next week while Rapids Plungers gets PackerFANatic7.
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
