Pack Attack (110.97) vs teamAlaska (86.26)
Sometimes this game is weird and this week certainly proved that point as the worst team in the league in Pack Attack (1-5) going up against the best team in the league in teamAlaska. Easy win for teamAlaska right? You would definitely think so but somehow Pack Attack was able to find a way to get their first win of the season. teamAlaska has been so good and Pack Attack so bad that despite the outcome of the game both teams stayed in last and first place. I am not reading too much into this one other then we won’t have a team go winless and we won’t have a team go undefeated!
HHH (151.57) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (75.04)
HHH (3-3) comes away with the big win in this one as they dominated 16hrs (2-4) and have now got back to .500 on the season after starting out 0-3. HHH has been playing some really good football during this three game winning streak which included wins against both Bossman and Rapids Plungers. They weren’t just led by one player as they had 7 players score more then 11 points with J. Burrow (36.67) leading the way. This is definitely a team to watch out for in the coming weeks as their may not be a hotter team in the league then HHH right now! 16hrs had a nice two game stretch going and had been playing really good football and then this week hit and they had their worst week since the opener. They were missing D. Henry and D. Carr so they will be hoping that their return from bye weeks next week will get them back on the winning track.
Big Papa (120.80) vs PackerFANatic7 (49.81)
Big Papa gets the easy win in this one as they move to 4-2 on the season. There isn’t much to write about here as this one was really never in doubt. Big Papa dominated the whole way! PackerFANatic7 (1-5) is lucky that there is a team by the name of Pack Attack in this league or they would be looked at as the “worst in the league”. Now the good news… they should get D. Prescott, D. Adams, A. St. Brown and D. Hopkins all back this week so I could see them getting these turned around or at a minimum at least competing!
DaUnderdog (98.59) vs BIGBOY! (98.02)
WOW! What a game this turned out to be as it came down to the very last game and last minutes. BIGBOY! went into the Monday night game with a 98.02 to 93.59 lead. DaUnderdog had the Denver D remaining. For those of you that don’t look at the scoring settings that closely a defense starts with 10 points if they allow a score of 0, if they allow 1-6 then it moves down to 7 and it keeps moving down. The Denver D allowed 19 points which puts them into the 14-20 points allowed range and is good for only 1 point. Thankfully however they had two sacks (2 points) and an interception (2 points) to move their overall total to 5 and that was all they needed to pull off the win this week! It wasn’t pretty and these are the type of games BIGBOY! has been winning all season however they fell short to the defending champs in this one! The win coupled with teamAlaska’s loss means that DaUnderdog (5-1) is now tied for first place! BIGBOY! falls to 3-3 and back to the middle of the pack. The wins are going to need to keep coming for BIGBOY! as the way it looks right now they won’t be winning any scoring tie breakers come the end of the year so this loss may come back to haunt them as we start talking playoffs!
Bossman (115.32) vs Rapids Plungers (115.24)
I talked a lot in the preview about the rich history between these two teams and how they are #1 and #2 in a lot of the stats that pertain to winning in this league. How fitting then that this game was the closest of the week and came down to the Monday night game to settle things! Going into the Sunday night game, I felt like Rapids Plungers (3-3) had the edge and would likely pull out the win. They were losing by 39.66 points but they had J. Hurts, C. Lamb and M. Sanders (and a D player) left to play. J, Hurts had already had multiple 30 point games himself and although the Dallas D seems tough I expected him to have a solid game. Bossman (4-2) didn’t have any remaining players so the only thing they could do is sit back and watch as Rapids Plungers begin closing the gap. When the dust settled on Sunday night none of those players came out and dominated which meant that Bossman was carrying a 1.38 lead heading into the Monday night game where Rapids Plungers had only their D player (B. Chubb) remaining. The D player position is tough to get right but a smart player like Rapids Plungers surely would have rostered a D player that could get more then 1.38 points and lead them to the win right? Not right! B. Chubb scored a mere 1.30 points and Bossman held on to the .08 point win! I do this every time a game is this close but .08 points.. if one of those three players (Hurts, Lamb or Sanders) got 2 more yards… Rapids Plungers wins this game. And even worst then that check this out… J. Hurts final two plays of the game Sunday night, Kneel down (-1 yard), Kneel down (-1 yard). That was the difference in a win or a loss this week for these two teams! What a game! These two teams seem headed in the right direction on the year and they very well may meet again come playoff time!
pack slayer (88.29) vs Starrfavrerodg (87.12)
What a game this turned out to be as well. It didn’t have a lot of scoring so it can’t be put into the Bossman / Rapids Plungers category but anytime there is less then a two point win it is a good game! This is now the third week in a row where Starrfavrerodg (2-4) had their matchup come down to the final game of the week. This week they went into the game leading by a mere 2.7 points and pack slayer had one of their top WR’s in C. Sutton remaining. The outcome of this game seemed to be more just a matter of time before Sutton catches two passes and not really a matter of “if”. However, we hit halftime and Sutton had one catch and this game was still not decided. I believe it was midway through the 3rd quarter that Sutton finally got catch #2 which happened to be their final catch of the game! That was enough in this case to get pack slayer the much needed win in a game that was hard fought but it is rare to win any game when not scoring over 90 points. pack slayer moves to 3-3 while starrfavrerodg moves to 2-4 on the season.
U Don’t Know (146.00) vs Sportsfreak (75.80)
U Don’t Know gets the big win to move to 4-2 on the season! They were led this week by Diggs (28.40) B. Hall (20.98) and K. Drake (20.33). Yes, K. Drake.. well done U Don’t Know as I did not see a 100 yard, 1 TD day coming from Drake this week. B. Hall is looking more and more like one of the better running backs in the game and form a great 1-2 combo with S. Barkley. This is a team to watch out for! Sportsfreak is really struggling as they have now lost 4 straight games and fall to 2-4 on the season. Going into this week, yes they had lost three straight but they hadn’t played terrible and you were just waiting for them to turn things around but then they go out and have the worst game of the year. Not good! They do get to go up against a PackerFANatic7 squad next week who also is currently on a 4 game losing streak and haven’t scored more then 89 points in any of those 4 losses. So there is hope on the horizon!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
