My Picks Record:
Last Week: 4-2
Overall: 38-16
HHH (6-3) vs Pack Attack (2-7)
It’s a brother battle! These are always fun however the are a lot more fun when the stakes are higher for both teams. HHH is riding a 6 game winning streak and will be looking to get that to 7 when they meet a “recently removed from the bottom of the standings” Pack Attack team. HHH has a legitimate shot at getting to one of those top two seeds and a first round bye but they need to to take care of business and not have a letdown in games like this!

16hrs Ahead of You!! (2-7) vs Big Papa (5-4)
Big Papa broke their 2 game losing streak last week with a impressive win over Bossman! They now will be looking to make it two straight against a 16hrs team that has lost 4 straight games and has been struggling to find a solid roster all season. This game means a lot more to Big Papa then it does 16hrs as 16hrs season isn’t officially over but it would seem just a matter of time while Big Papa is currently sitting a game outside of the playoffs and with only 5 more games to play that makes each game (especially ones they are favored to win) that much more important!
Prediction:
16hrs has some work to do with their roster but it’s not going to matter as Big Papa will build on last weeks performance and dominate in this one. I am looking at a score of 125 to 87.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 18
- Record: Advantage Big Papa at 11-7
- PPG Avg: Advantage Big Papa 116.87 to 102.86
BIGBOY! (3-6) vs PackerFANatic7 (1-8)
Two of the worst teams in the league go head to head this week. PackerFANatic7 knows all about that as last week it was the two worst teams in the league going head to head and they lost that one. Things have not been good for PackerFANatic7, well they have been downright terrible but losing to Pack Attack and BIGBOY! in consecutive weeks would be about as bad as it can get. BIGBOY! has the better record but I am not so sure they have the better team. Both of these teams have big losing streaks, BIGBOY! has lost 4 straight while PackerFANatic7 has lost 7 straight. From a historical perspective, a 7 game losing streak gets you on the list for longest regular season losing streak http://keepersfantasyfootball.com/regular-season/ but if you start hitting the 8 and 9 number you start climbing that list quickly and that is one chart you don’t want to be sitting at the top. Ok, I have wrote enough about a meaningless game so who wins?
Prediction:
BIGBOY! gets D. Samuel and TJ Watt back this week which is good news for them but it doesn’t look good for K. Allen. PackerFANatic7 gets CMC back after the bye and has a very unique lineup construction this week as they have two Vegas pass catchers and two Packers RB’s in their starting lineups. I am going with PackerFANatic7 to stop their 7 game losing streak this week and win 113 to 108 which for these two teams would be a shootout!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 5
- Record: Advantage BIGBOY! at 3-2
- PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 124.61 to 107.49
Bossman (6-3) vs Sportsfreak (3-6)
Both teams are coming off tough weeks last week as Bossman lost a nail biter to Big Papa while Sportsfreak got crushed by Rapids Plungers. I am not sure what is worst, losing a close game or losing the by 50. This is a big game for both teams as Bossman will be looking to stay in one of these top two spots as they are looking for that first round bye while Sportsfreak just needs to find a way to win and keep their ever so slim playoff chances alive. It is worth noting the dominance that Bossman has had in this matchup over the years as they have 13 of the 17 meetings. The 13 wins is the most Bossman has against any team in the league. Will the dominance continue this week?
Prediction:
Yes it will! Bossman lost last week but it wasn’t like they played terrible as they did score 142 points while Sportsfreak has yet to score over 124 all season. Bossman has too much firepower here despite the fact that they may be missing the #1 overall pick in J. Taylor for another week. I have Bossman winning 151 to 97. Yep, a blowout!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 17
- Record: Advantage Bossman at 13-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 124.21 to 114.54
Starrfavrerodg (5-4) vs DaUnderdog (6-3)
We have some really good games this week and this would qualify as one of them. Despite DaUnderdog having the better record, Starrfavrerodg has been playing better football over the past 5 weeks. They have won 4 of their last 5 games and 3 in a row coming into this one. The defending champs are on a mission to go back to back and have been battling all season to put themselves in a position to that. With 5 weeks remaining they have everything in front of them including a chance at one of those first round byes. Interestingly enough the same could be said about Starrfavrerodg as they have worked their way into contention and despite the fact that if the season ended today they would not be in the playoffs they are only 2 games out of 1st place and one game in the win column from the #2 spot. A win here by DaUnderdog and they could be looking at being at the top of the standings, a loss and they could find themselves outside of playoff positioning. This is a big game for both teams!
Prediction:
The bye week is going to play a factor here as DaUnderdog will be without Mixon who just scored 57 points last game while Starrfavrerodg will be without Chase due to the bye week and injury. Bigger then that however is the status of J. Allen which as of this writing I would expect he doesn’t play which would be a huge blow for DaUnderdog. For the sake of the prediction I am going to assume Allen is out. I have Starrfavrerodg winning this one 120 to 81. Yes, I know 81 is a low score but without Allen and Mixon it is going to be hard for DaUnderdog to find points. Starrfavrerodg gets their biggest win of the season!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 2
- Record: Tied at 1-1
- PPG Avg: Advantage Starrfavrerodg 98.36 to 71.46
Rapids Plungers (6-3) vs pack slayer (5-4)
I mentioned in last weeks recap but Rapids Plungers is quietly moving their way up the leaderboard and they will be looking to keep that going this week against a pack slayer team that just had their worst week of the season. Rapids Plungers has been winning with consistency as they have scored 113 points or better in 7 of the 9 weeks so far. pack slayer has been the opposite and very inconsistent this year as the ups and downs of their scoring this season would make for a fun roller coaster ride especially the last three weeks where they went from 109 to 180 to 69! With all that said they are right in the thick of things for a playoff spot and a win here against a quality opponent would be huge for them moving forward!
Prediction:
Both of these teams are seemingly at full strength as injuries and bye weeks are not a factor which makes me intrigued to see what happens and who comes out on top. I do see a path for both teams winning this one however I like the depth that Rapids Plungers has compared to pack slayer and I trust their players more this week. I have Rapids Plungers winning this one in a low scoring game 110 to 98.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 11
- Record: Advantage pack slayer at 6-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 133.49 to 114.56
teamAlaska (7-2) vs U Don’t Know (6-3)
Game of the week. This is one of the biggest games on the slate this week as teamAlaska will be looking to keep their hold of that #1 overall spot while U Don’t Know with a win can at a minimum move into a tie for 1st place. teamAlaska has been sitting at or near the top most of the season so this is nothing new but U Don’t Know really has been coming on strong over the course of the last 5 weeks as they have won 5 of their last 6 games to put themselves in a great position for not only the playoffs but also getting one of those top two spots and a first round bye. For teamAlaska it has been a bit more of a rocky road these past 4 weeks as they have gone 2-2 and that level of consistency we saw through 5 weeks hasn’t been there. They failed to score 100 points last week and they will be looking to get back on track this week against a good opponent.
Prediction:
Bye weeks are a big factor in this one and specifically for teamAlaska as they will be without 4 players due to a bye this week and one of those players happens to be L. Jackson. U Don’t Know will be without K. Drake who has surprisingly been a really solid fantasy performer for them! I have this game coming down to the wire. teamAlaska will go into the Monday night game down by 10 points with D. Smith left to play and he can’t get it done. U Don’t Know wins this one 118 to 115.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 15
- Record: Advantage U Don’t Know at 9-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage teamAlaska 116.71 to 118.47
