Rapids Plungers (118.19) vs Pack Attack (83.38)
Rapids Plungers takes care of business this week to win their 5th in a row and move to 8-3 on the season. They just keep on winning and with 3 games remaining are now sitting tied for 1st place and more importantly they are a full game ahead of the field for that playoff bye. This looks like a team that is setting themselves up for a nice playoff run!
Sportsfreak (93.33) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (86.36)
Sportsfreak (4-7) breaks their 3 game losing streak and in doing so hands 16hrs (2-9) their 6th loss in a row. For a minute it actually looked like 16hrs may be able to pull off the improbably come from behind win thanks to the fact that the Sportsfreak Defense (Arizona) gave them negative 4 points last night and the D for 16hrs (SF) was looking really good. It took a good game from B. Aiyuk (15pts) to hold off 16hrs. I do however have a real quick fantasy football tip that may help some of you. There is a NFL game every Thursday which means you should probably adjust your roster OR at a minimum make sure you have your guys set who may or may not be playing in that game. Why do I tell you this now? Well, R. Bullock for 16hrs didn’t play last Thursday and he was left in the starting lineup. J. Tucker however was on the bench for 16hrs. J. Tucker scored 7.90 points. 16hrs lost by 6.97 points. Enough said. On to the next game!
Big Papa (129.51) vs DaUnderdog (89.48)
If you were wondering if this Big Papa team was for real I think these last three weeks may have given us the answer as they have beaten Bossman and no DaUnderdog to move to 7-4 on the season and all the way up to 3rd place in the standings. Mahomes (31.11 pts) came through with another big performance and surprisingly their Kicker B. Maher also had an amazing day with 23 points. Big Papa has one of the easier remaining schedules as they don’t play a team with a winning record so it seems possible and maybe even probable that they win out and who knows maybe they even end up as the top team in the league when it is all said and done! On the other side things are not looking quite as good for the reigning champ, DaUnderdog. This loss moves them to 6-5 on the season and they have now lost 4 of their last 5 games. The good news for them is that they likely still control their own destiny as if they can win their next three games and get to 9-5 on the season I would expect they would be in the playoffs. They also finish out the season with games against Sportfreak and PackerFANatic7 so winning out is not out of the question but they are going to need to have some urgency and it starts next week against a good U Don’t Know squad.
HHH (156.13) vs BIGBOY! (114.46)
HHH saw their 6 game winning streak come to an end last week and I don’t think they were very happy about that. They came out this week and dominated BIGBOY! sending them to their 6th straight loss. HHH moves to 7-4 on the season and keeps themselves not only in the playoff picture (currently #4) but also in contention for one of those first round byes. If they can get the Burrow / Higgens duo to come alive and perform like they did this past weekend they are going to be a tough team to beat. For BIGBOY! it is clear that they got lucky early on in the season when they won 2 games despite not scoring 100 points. They have now scored over 100 points in each of the past two weeks but they still haven’t been able to find a win. This team is one of the worst in the league and they now have games against Bossman and Rapids Plungers before they close out the season against 16hrs. We could be looking at a final week game, BIGBOY! vs 16hrs to see who gets the mantle of last place?
Bossman (126.12) vs pack slayer (116.08)
Bossman shows why they are a favorite yet again this year as the depth of their team came through and led them to another win. What makes it even more impressive is that this was a game against a pack slayer team desperate for a win and they couldn’t do it. It ended up being closer then I was anticipating after Bossman got out to a big lead after Sunday’s games but Jimmy G (28.76 pts) and D. Hopkins (13.55 pts) made things interesting in Monday nights game. They just couldn’t quite get the job done. I think that is it for this pack slayer team, they now fall to 5-6 on the season, have lost three straight games and just lost to a Bossman team who was playing without 3 of their better players due to bye weeks. Bossman is the top team in the league this year and barring something crazy happening over the next three weeks I see this team as the favorite to win it all.
PackerFANatic7 (131.71) vs teamAlaska (63.89)
What!? Is this a winning streak for packerFANatic7? Did they really just beat one of the “better” teams in the league by almost 70 points? Yep and yep! PackerFANatic7 may be out of the playoff picture but they are going to do their best to make an impact to how that playoff picture looks and they did so by dominating teamAlaska to get their 3rd win of the season. They will be looking to finish the season strong in their remaining 3 games. teamAlaska might be in a bit of trouble! They were dominating through 5 weeks of the season and really through week 8 as they were sitting at 7-1 and at the top of the league. Now here we are just three weeks later and they are 7-4, haven’t scored over 100 points in the last three weeks and just got dominated by a team that got their 2nd win last week! Oh and to make matters worse they get to play HHH, Rapids Plungers and Bossman to finish out their season. Those three teams are currently #1, #2, and #4 in the standings! If teamAlaska is going to make it to the playoffs (which seemed like a done deal three weeks ago) they will have earned it!
Starrfavrerodg (121.70) vs U Don’t Know (100.03)
Their were some impressive showings this week but none more impressive then this win for Starrfavrerodg (7-4)! They were without Tua, M. Evans due to bye weeks and J. Chase is still out due to injury but despite that they found a way to win. The crazy thing is though how they won. There are three positions that when I am picking games are usually after thoughts and I don’t really take too much consideration into the scoring from those three positions. They are K, DEF and D player. However, when those positions do well it can be a serious jolt for your team and that is exactly what happened this week for Starrfavrerodg. They got a total of 46 points from those three positions. In addition to that they had one player step up big time and that was S. Perine as he came through with 26.60 points! Perine had only scored 47 points on the entire season coming into this one! So between a backup RB and the three positions I mentioned earlier they got a total of 72.60 points! I am not sure if that makes Starrfavrerodg lucky or a really good GM! I am going to say he is a really good GM because hey their team has now won 5 straight games and is currently sitting at the #7 spot in the standings. This was a tough loss for U Don’t Know as they fall to 7-4 on the season and just couldn’t get anything going. They have a relatively easily remaining schedule so they should be fine but a win here and they are sitting at the #3 spot tied with Bossman and Rapids plungers for one of those 2 first round byes. They are still just a game out so that is within reach but this was a tough one!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
