My Picks Record:
Last Week: 4-2
Overall: 4-2
Starrfavrerodg (1-0) vs Pack Attack (1-0)
Surprisingly this is the only game this week that features two teams that started with a win in week 1. I don’t want to say undefeated on the season because come on it’s week 2! Starrfavrerodg will be looking to build on last weeks big win while Pack Attack will be hoping that they can get some help from J. Allen and T Higgins this week. Couple of things to watch out for on the injury front are the status of J Jeudy for Pack Attack and probably more importantly the status of A Jones for Starrfavrerodg.
*Side Note.. the commish has yet to see a formal request to change their team name… Starrfavrerodglove?

16hrs Ahead of You!! (0-1) vs HHH (0-1)
Both of these teams are coming off week 1 losses and will be looking to get things on track in week 2. 16hrs has been notorious for starting slow… and well let’s be honest they haven’t really ended seasons much better either so they are looking to break that trend and get some early season wins under their belt. HHH is coming off a tough loss in a game they probably felt like they had a good shot at winning. They will be looking to send 16hrs to an 0-2 start this week.
Prediction:
16hrs had a rough start but I do think they have a team that should be competitive most weeks and they may even win a few games! HHH is hoping that M. Andrews is back and that a few of their other players step up in this one. I am thinking this may be a low scoring game but I like 16hrs in this one! I am going to go with them to find a way to get win #1 on the season.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 20
- Record: Advantage HHH at 11-9
- PPG Avg: Advantage HHH 111.25 to 101.08
Big Papa (0-1) vs BIGBOY! (1-0)
Father / Son matchup! I always enjoy these and there is a few of them throughout the season. BIGBOY! has been the one who has historically won this matchup but Big Papa does have some momentum having won the championship last season. They didn’t have the start they wanted last week but a win here and bragging rights over BIGBOY! for the year would help them forget about that week 1. On the flip side, a win here for BIGBOY! and Big Papa getting to here how “trash” their team is for the next 2 months which well.. that would not be ideal!
Prediction:
BIGBOY! has a couple of guys with the questionable tag but I expect they will be able to go this week so injuries don’t seem to be a factor. I don’t expect a lot of scoring in this one but I think BIGBOY! has just enough yet again this week to pull off the win and every win they get with C. Kupp on the sideline is a big one!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 13
- Record: Advantage BIGBOY! at 8-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 130.47 to 111.16
Bossman (1-0) vs DaUnderdog (0-1)
DaUnderdog got off to a really slow start in week 1 and now they go up against a Bossman team that rarely loses games they are favored to win. That is not a great combination for getting your first win of the season. I do think there are a lot more points out there for DaUnderdog then what we saw in Week 1 especially if Kelce is back on the field so it will be interesting to see how they respond. Bossman took advantage of being the last pick in the draft and having being #1 in the waiver order by picking up Puka Nacua from the Rams. It’s not often you see a guy go from 5 % rostered to 67% rostered overnight so it seems he was the consensus #1 claim and with Kupp out for minimum of 4 weeks it seems like a solid move.
Prediction:
Bossman scored 107 points in week 1 to get the victory and I expect them to come out this week and build on that just slightly by putting up somewhere in the 110 to 120 range which I think will be enough to get past DaUnderdog. While I expect DaUnderdog to put up a much better showing with Kelce presumed to be back I am not sure I see them with enough firepower to take down Bossman. Bossman with win #2.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 18
- Record: Advantage Bossman at 13-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 121.16 to 110.33
pack slayer (1-0) vs U Don’t Know (0-1)
pack slayer got a really nice win last week and they will be looking to build on that in this one. I talk a lot about the success of Bossman and Rapids Plungers during the regular season and rightfully so as they lead about every category when it comes to that but it is worth mentioning that pack slayer has quietly put together a really nice resume having made the playoffs in 7 of their 12 seasons and outside of a 2 win debacle of a season their worst was 5 wins. This team just needs to find a way to have some post season success to get the recognition they probably deserve. Maybe it is this season? U Don’t Know is coming off a tough loss last week where they saw their two stars (Mahomes and Chase) not play up to their ability. I would expect around 50 points combined from those two this week. Will that be enough to get win # 1 on the season?
Prediction:
I expect this to be one of the better games of the week. After week 1 I feel better about certain players on the pack slayer side of the ball but as I mentioned above I expect big bounce back type of games from Mahomes and Chase and even to some level G Pickens. This is a tough one but I think pack slayer has a few more weapons and should end up with win #2.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 12
- Record: Advantage pack slayer at 8-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 120.87 to 106.79
PackerFANatic7 (0-1) vs Sportsfreak (1-0)
These two teams have not been very good over the course of the last 5 seasons. In fact, the numbers would tell you that these two have been the worst (although pack attack is right there with them). Neither team has made the playoffs in the last 5 seasons. Sportsfreak has a record of 22-45 over that span while PackerFanatic has a record of 27-40. That’s not good folks and I think both of these coaches would tell you that the product they have put on the field the last 5 seasons has been unacceptable and they are looking to do better this season. Sportsfreak started off really strong with the best week 1 of any team in the league. The same can’t be said for PackerFANatic7 as they had one of the lower scoring weeks although they did almost find a way to get the win. I kind of like this matchup this week and am interested to see if Sportsfreak can keep the momentum from last week and start off with a 2-0 start or will PackerFANatic7 find a way to get their first win of the season?
Prediction:
I talked about how bad both of these teams have been in previous years but I do think they both have teams that can contend this season. No one wants to fall to a 0-2 hole to start the season but the injuries on the PackerFANatic7 side are enough for me to lean towards another Sportsfreak win which means PackerFANatic7 falling to the dreaded 0-2 hole.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 6
- Record: Tied at 3-3
- PPG Avg: Advantage PackerFANatic7 128.61 to 126.77
Rapids Plungers (1-0) vs teamAlaska (0-1)
Rapids Plungers is coming off a nice week one win while teamAlaska is a tough luck loser as they scored the most points of any losing team in week 1. I say it every year but it always holds true in that there is always a team or two that seem to play people at the wrong time and while the teams PPG is solid the wins are not following. For teamAlaska’s sake I hope that isn’t them. Rapids Plungers will be looking to start off another fantasy season strong as they look to move to 2-0.
Prediction:
Week 1 stats will tell us that M Jones and J Love both of whom were not drafted in many drafts are significantly better then the two QB’s about to go head to head in J. Burrow vs J. Fields. And this is why we don’t get too worried about week 1 performances. I expect a much better performance from J. Burrow this week. J. Fields…. I expect a better performance however when he has had big days it has been because he ran the ball. If teams limit his rushing we haven’t seen him be able to be extremely successful as a pocket passer so that would worry me slightly. I see Burrow outscoring Fields, I see a monster game D Smith tonight and I think Pollard struggles against a tough Jets D. Also, I don’t know how serious D. Adams injury is so with all that said I like Rapids Plungers to get win #2 here.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 15
- Record: Advantage Rapids Plungers at 8-7
- PPG Avg: Advantage teamAlaska 114.52 to 114.19
