My Picks Record:
Last Week: 4-2
Overall: 33-15
16hrs Ahead of You!! (5-4) vs Pack Attack (5-4)
16hrs is coming into this week with a W-2 next to their name in the standings for the first time all season! They now go up against one of their longest standing rivals in Pack Attack with both teams wanting to get this win to avoid falling back to .500. 16hrs will be without their stud WR, AJ Brown this week while Pack Attack is starting to get healthier and should get at least J Conner back from IR. I have mentioned it before but 16hrs has a tough remaining schedule and this is a very winnable game with Pack Attack still having a number of guys on IR. This should be a good one!

Big Papa (4-5) vs U Don’t Know (3-6)
Big Papa has had a whirlwind type of year so far. They started off the season with three straight losses then turned their season around with three straight wins and then proceeded to lose their next two games and now got a win last week to seemingly start another winning streak? They sure hope so and it is going to be needed. They find themselves just a game back in the win column for a playoff spot. There is a lot of teams there and their scoring is low so they are going to need likely get a full game up on some of these other teams if they want a chance at defending their title. U Don’t Know has moved into the “must win” category for these final 5 weeks of the regular season. 8 wins will most of the time get you a playoff berth but 7 a much lower % chance and to make matters worse. On paper this is their easiest remaining team. If they get there they will have earned it.
Prediction:
A must win game and U Don’t Know will be without their top weapon in P Mahomes! That hurts! Big Papa is hoping to get their full set of weapons back with D London currently Q to play. I have picked U Don’t Know to win what feels like most weeks and they continue to disappoint but they have a solid core of guys that just haven’t been able to get going. I think they find a way to win this week and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

BIGBOY! (6-3) vs Starrfavrerodg (5-4)
Starrfavrerodg is on a roll! They have won three straight and this is a team that seems to hitting their stride at the right time. They now go up against one of the 5 teams ahead of them in the standings and some people may look at a tough game like this and wish they were playing… HHH but I don’t think this manager thinks that way. They want to play the best teams and see what their team is made of! The good news here is that if they can win not only will they bring a team ahead of them down in the standings they would actually leap frog them given their points scored. BIGBOY! in my estimation is holding on for dear life! Maybe I am the only one to see this but despite their 6-3 record I am not sure just how good they really are. They have had three games where they have won by 1 point or less. Three! Do I think this is a bad team. No. Do I think this is a strong playoff team right now. No. This is a good manager though and I know they are working on finding the right pieces to make a strong run! They do have games against PackerFANatic7 and HHH remaining which they may have to win especially if they don’t get the W here.
Prediction:
So my writing above may have been foreshadowing a little how I feel this game going but BIGBOY! is without two of their top weapons in C Kupp and J Waddle this week. Starrfavrerodg is without Mostert and Smith so that does even out a bit but Starrfavrerodg has a little more depth and can withstand that better and in addition I am not sure that Osborn or Woods play this week. I like Starrfavrerodg to win their 4th straight and send BIGBOY’s panic meter a little higher!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 3
- Record: Advantage BIGBOY! at 2-1
- PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 125.91 to 115.40
Bossman (7-2) vs Rapids Plungers (6-3)
GAME OF THE WEEK and potential Super Bowl matchup!? I think both are true. Anytime you have these two teams playing and their records are where they are this late in the season you know it is going to be a big game. These two teams are the most consistent when it comes to making the playoffs and winning games in the regular season as they have the two highest regular season winning percentages in league history and this season looks to be no different. Bossman hit a bit of a snag there in weeks 5 and 6 but have since been on fire winning their past 3 games while averaging 158 ppg. They will have a tough next 4 games but it is hard for me to see them not finishing in the top 3 this year yet again. Rapids Plungers similar to Bossman hit a snag in weeks 6-8 but was able to break the losing streak with a nice win over Sportsfreak last week. Now they have a chance to get back to the top of the standings with a win here over Bossman. This feels like a heavyweight battle with major playoff implications. This should be a good one!
Prediction:
Not only is this a great matchup from the records and all that is at stake but Yahoo has this as the closest projected game! I know that means nothing but still worth pointing out. Bye weeks hit Bossman the hardest as they will be without their top player in J Hurts and not to mention P. Nacua is also on a bye. Those are tough losses in a big game like this but Bossman always is able to field a solid team no matter the situation and in one of the biggest spots of the year I expect they will find a way to do just that. It does help when they can plug in CJ Stroud who is fresh off one of the best QB performances of the year! Rapids Plungers gets CMC back off the bye and D Samuel also seems good to go after missing two games. This might be one of the hardest games to pick of the season. It is hard to pick against Bossman right now so I am going to go with them to keep their streak alive and pull out a close one! Bossman with win #8!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 15
- Record: Rapids Plungers at 9-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage Rapids Plungers 135.26 to 121.36
DaUnderdog (5-4) vs HHH (0-9)
DaUnderdog has done a great job of working their way all the way back into the playoff picture and now they get to go up against the winless HHH squad in order to keep their momentum going. DaUnderdog has one of the easiest remaining schedules on paper so if they can get the win here things are looking really promising for them to get back to the playoffs after missing last season. HHH is just wanting to win one game. Just one! Is that too much to ask? It actually might be this season as they haven’t had too many even close calls. Can they do it this week against the little bro!?
Prediction:
Who knew that a team with a ton of momentum and seemingly a strong candidate to make the playoffs could actually seemingly have a shot at losing to a 0-9 team? DaUnderdog has Kelce on a bye which hurts. Prescott seems like he is in a good spot but I am wondering if maybe he doesn’t have to do too much given I am not sure that the Giants will score a point. I actually think that HHH has a real shot in this one but I just can’t get myself to picking it. DaUnderdog wins 92 to 85.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 20
- Record: Advantage DaUnderdog at 12-8
- PPG Avg: Advantage DaUnderdog 112.71 to 107.81
pack slayer (7-2) vs PackerFANatic7 (2-7)
pack slayer is coming into this week having lost their first game since way back in the first part of October. The last time they lost a game they responded really well by winning their next 4. This team feels a little like BIGBOY! in that I think the wins and how good the team actually is aren’t quite lining up. Don’t get me wrong, I do think this is a good team as you don’t win 7 out of your first 9 games without a solid team I am just not sure if they are a true top of the league type of team at this point. These last 5 weeks are going to tell us a lot! PackerFANatic7 is now relegated to playing the role of spoiler. It’s never fun when you are playing this role with 5 games remaining but I think that is the reality here. I will say that PackerFANatic7 gets to play HHH next week so if they can somehow find a way to win this week and then potentially beat HHH they would be sitting at 4-7 with 3 games remaining. 7-7 usually doesn’t get you in but I do like to give a little optimism to the teams at the bottom of the league. So who wins? Can PackerFANatic7 pull off the upset or will pack slayer rebound with a big win after last weeks loss!?
Prediction:
I picked an upset last week in the pack slayer matchup and I am going to do it again. PackerFANatic7 has been playing decent the last two weeks and I think the matchups favor PackerFANatic7 in this one. I really like St. Brown and K Allen this week for PackerFANatic7. I could see that game being a bit of a shootout. Not to mention this is going to be the week where we remember why C Watson was going so high in drafts. I like PackerFANatic7 to get the big upset win and send pack slayer to back to back losses for the first time all season.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 6
- Record: Tied at 3-3
- PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 137.38 to 127.45
Sportsfreak (4-5) vs teamAlaska (4-5)
Sportsfreak had a great chance to get over .500 last week and in doing so they would have moved into a tie with one of the teams ahead of them in the standings but instead they laid an egg and had their worst week of the season. They are now 4-5 and while this isn’t a must win type of situation too many more losses would put a lot of pressure on the remaining games. teamAlaska has the identical record but is coming off their 3rd win in the last 4 games. They haven’t been dominating their opponents but they have found ways to win and right now that is all they need. A win here and they will get to .500 for the first time all season and put themselves squarely in the mix for a playoff spot!
Prediction:
The big news here is no Tyreek Hill for Sportsfreak. That’s a tough loss in what is seemingly the biggest game of the season for them. teamAlasks is missing one starter, I Pacheco due to a bye. I really like how Burrow has been playing of late and I think this is the week that T. Pollard finally pays off that first round price tag and has one of his best games of the season. I like teamAlaska to get the win here.
***That may be a bad pick because historically Sportsfreak has dominated this matchup!***
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 18
- Record: Advantage Sportsfreak at 14-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage Sportsfreak 126.94 to 107.17
