ELIMINATED FROM PLAYOFF CONTENTION
1. HHH
2. PackerFANatic7
I ran a little pole on Facebook to see what people may be thinking about the playoff chances for each team. Based on that pole our 6 playoff teams would be Bossman, Rapids Plungers, BIGBOY!, Starrfavrerodg, Pack Attack & Sportsfreak. Just looking at the list it makes me think that final game between DaUnderdog and Sportsfreak may be a win and your in type of game! Ok, lets not get ahead of ourselves and lets get to the Week 13 preview!
Rapids Plungers (8-4) vs Pack Attack (7-5)
At this point for Rapids Plungers the playoffs are just a formality. Even if they were to lose their next two games they likely get in due to tie breakers BUT they have a lot to play for in this one as they want to hold on to that first round bye. If Pack Attack would be able to sneak out a victory here they would have identical records but Pack Attack would own the tie breaker due to points scored. Both teams will be without some of their top weapons as J. Allen, J Jefferson & Z Flowers are for sure out for Pack Attack due to the bye and for Rapids Plungers they will be without J Fields & S Diggs as well as some other depth players. This should be a good one!

16hrs Ahead of You!! (5-7) vs Starrfavrerodg (7-5)
Starrfavrerodg is coming off their biggest win of the season last week as they took down the #1 team in the league, Bossman! They now need to be careful of the let down game as they go up against a 16hrs team who at this point is playing for pride as a playoff spot seems out of reach! A win here wouldn’t guarantee a playoff spot for Starrfavrerodg but given where they rank in points scored it would be hard to imagine them missing the playoffs with 8 wins so that means they just need to get one of these next two game and who knows they aren’t out of the running for one of those first round byes!
Prediction:
As of this writing I am making some assumptions on what the lineup will eventually look like as 16hrs has yet to get their starters set. However, with L Jackson and J Meyers on a bye it is going to be tough sledding for 16hrs. I like Starrfavrerodg to keep things going and get win #8 on the season and all but clinch a playoff spot!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 3
- Record: Advantage Starrfavrerodg at 2-1
- PPG Avg: Advantage Starrfavrerodg 110.49 to 105.16
Big Papa (5-7) vs PackerFANatic7 (4-8)
This game doesn’t have much in the form of playoff positioning but as always it is now more a matter of pride and finishing the season strong. PackerFANatic7 has been playing much better then their record these last few weeks and are hoping to get a couple of more wins in order to get into the consolation bracket. Big Papa is never one to concede and will battle until they are officially eliminated. It is all about momentum and building for next year for these two teams.
Prediction:
It may be a good thing that Big Papa lost last week because if this game meant something they would be in a world of hurt as they have 8 players on a bye! That is just too much for them to overcome and I am going with PackerFANatic7 to get the win and leapfrog Big Papa in the standings.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 6
- Record: Advantage Big Papa at 4-2
- PPG Avg: Advantage Big Papa 112.71 to 90.84
BIGBOY! (8-4) vs DaUnderdog (7-5)
This is one of the bigger games this weekend with MAJOR playoff implications. BIGBOY! is coming off their worst loss of the season and maybe one of their worst losses of all time given the scenario. I am really interested to see how they will respond in this one. DaUnderdog needs this win as they are one of the 7 win teams that getting to 8 wins may not be enough given they may not win many of the tie breakers. A win here however would allow them to potentially leap frog BIGBOY! in the standings (depending on the margin of victory). A lot of different scenarios at play here. This one will be heavily watched by all of the 6 and 7 win teams as well as it would seem they would all prefer BIGBOY! to win to push DaUnderdog lower in the standings and help their own cause! This one also will be a good one!
Prediction:
It doesn’t appear that K walker will play, Dobbs is on a bye (not sure if BIGBOY! would have started him anyway) and once again BIGBOY! looks in a bit of trouble. If there is some good news for BIGBOY! it is that R. Rice actually looked like he may finally become that WR1 in KC. DaUnderdog needs to keep winning as they want nothing to do with any tie breaker scenarios. BIGBOY! has the studs to have a big game, I am looking at you Kupp / Waddle & Gibbs but Prescott has been playing so well and it hard to pick the team that just lost to HHH to win right now. I like DaUnderdog in a close one!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 13
- Record: BIGBOY! at 10-3
- PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 115.10 to 97.85
Bossman (8-4) vs pack slayer (7-5)
Bossman comes into this one with their second two game losing streak of the season. They also lost two straight in weeks 5 & 6. They followed that up by winning 4 straight in dominating fashion. If they do that again starting this week their 4th win would be their 3rd championship! Sounds so easy right!? pack slayer is struggling and that is putting it lightly! They have lost 4 straight games and during that losing streak they have gone over the 100 point mark just one time and it was 101. With that said, they still have everything right there in front of them it may however take two wins to get them there as I am not sure this team will get in at 8 wins given their relatively low amount of points scored. Can they get the win this week and send Bossman to their 3rd loss in a row?
Prediction:
I don’t think so. They are for sure short handed with Barkley out due to bye and both Olave and Douglas are in the concussion protocol so they too may be out. That’s far too much for them to overcome especially since they have been offensively challenged as it is. I like Bossman to dominate this one and put pack slayer’s playoff hopes on really thin ice!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 12
- Record: Advantage Bossman at 7-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 129.10 to 122.08
Sportsfreak (6-6) vs HHH (1-11)
Now that their first win is behind them HHH can breathe a little easier as they didn’t want to enter into that very exclusive “never won a game all year” club. This game means nothing for HHH. They can’t get into the consolation round, they are guaranteed to finish last place so there is nothing except playing the role of spoiler and I am sure they will do their best to do just that. I mentioned it in the recap last week but the one team that can wreak havoc on things is Sportsfreak! Despite their 6-6 record and currently out of playoff position if they are able to get to 8 wins they are likely going to take someone’s playoff spot simply because they own the 5th highest scoring team in the league. Everyone will be rooting hard for HHH to find a way to get win #2 in this one!
Prediction:
HHH got the win last week but I don’t expect them to find their way to a mini winning streak. T Hill should have another monster game against WSH and with the J Taylor injury Z Moss becomes a instant RB1. I like Sportsfreak in a blowout!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 21
- Record: Advantage Sportsfreak at 11-10
- PPG Avg: Advantage HHH 116.65 to 116.32
teamAlaska (6-6) vs U Don’t Know (5-7)
teamAlaska comes into this one in a must win situation which is nothing new for them as they have been playing with that mentality since week 8 when they were 2-5. Since that time they have gone 4-1 with wins over BIGBOY! and Bossman during that time. They are going to need to get to 8 wins and they are going to need to do it by putting up a lot of points. I keep talking about this but I don’t see many scenarios where we don’t have multiple 8 win teams and one or two get left out of the playoffs because they lose the tie breaker! U Don’t Know hasn’t been officially eliminated and even if they were I know they will play this thing out and see if they can finish the season strong! Lots of pressure for teamAlaska in this one!
Prediction:
A bad time for teamAlaska to be dealing with bye weeks to one of their better players in D Adams. They also will be without G Edwards. U Don’t Know got the bad news that J. Taylor is out for a couple of weeks and that hurts big time since they don’t have a lot of depth at the position. I expect a fairly low scoring game here but I do think teamAlaska is able to sneak out a win to keep their playoff hopes alive heading into the final week of the season.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 16
- Record: Advantage U Don’t Know at 10-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage teamAlaska 117.19 to 116.95
