Bossman (137.40) vs Pack Attack (118.13)
A big game and a big win for Bossman (7-2) as they take down Pack Attack (5-4) for the 5th time in a row! In doing so they also moved to 7-2 and back at the #1 position thanks to the pack slayer loss. Bossman was able to close the door in this one thanks to big games from J. Hurts and C Lamb on Sunday afternoon. Pack Attack loses their third straight game and now are hanging on to a playoff spot thanks to winning tie breakers. Bossman has scored the most points in the league which will likely become something of great importance as the season winds down and tie breakers are in play.
16hrs Ahead of You!! (94.19) vs U Don’t Know (83.06)
It happened! Finally! 16hrs (5-4) was able to get two wins in a row for the first time all season and they now have put themselves smack dab into the playoff hunt with 5 games remaining. Their remaining schedule is tough so this was a huge win for them! On the flip side this was a tough loss for U Don’t Know (3-6) as they were looking to claw their way back into the playoff race and anytime you lose to a team that doesn’t break 100 it is tough to swallow. Now they will have their work cut out for them as they can’t afford to lose many (if any) games if they want to get into the playoffs!
Big Papa (100.94) vs HHH (75.33)
Big Papa (4-5) takes care of business here and ends their two game losing streak by sending HHH to their 9th straight loss. I said in the preview that I would be surprised if either of these teams breaks 100 and Big Papa did just that so well done! With this win, they are now sitting just one game outside of playoff positioning. Can they get hot and get back into the playoffs in order to defend their title? The next couple of weeks will be important for them to try and get back to and over that .500 mark. HHH (0-9)… well I am not sure what to say at this point other then they are still battling. Good job HHH for not giving up and right now that matchup in Week 11 against the 2 win PackerFANatic7 squad may be their next best shot at a W!
teamAlaska (113.75) vs BIGBOY! (86.77)
teamAlaska (4-5) gets the HUGE win and has set themselves up for a potential playoff push. teamAlaska has now won 3 of their last 4 games and really feel like they are a team that might getting hot at the right time! BIGBOY! falls to 6-3 on the season and saw their 4 game losing streak come to a screeching halt. BIGBOY! has one of the easier remaining schedules of the current playoff teams and that may be super important as their lack of points scored is going to force them to be a game up on the field. I think the bigger concern is the play of some of their guys who led them to that 4 game winning streak. Guys like K Walker and C Kupp who now has had three straight games with only 5 points. You can’t discount what BIGBOY! has done to get to where they are at but of the current playoff teams. This is the one I am most concerned with (outside of Pack Attack of course) 🙂
DaUnderdog (111.53) vs pack slayer (78.26)
Since starting out the season at 0-2 DaUnderdog (5-4) has been on a roll. They have gone 5-2 and have quietly put themselves right in the thick of the playoff race. This win here was huge for them as they were able to take down the at the time #1 team in the league. The biggest thing working in their favor is the play of D Prescott. He has been really solid the last three weeks and if he can continue this hot streak we may see DaUnderdog continue to climb up the leaderboard. For pack slayer (7-2) they are in a fine position and having started out so strong I don’t see them in danger of missing the playoffs however you kind of knew games like this may be coming. I think they are a good team that is going to make the playoffs but I can’t help but wonder if they have overachieved a bit up to this point. They will however have a good shot at getting back into the win column next week against the 2 win PackerFANatic7 squad.
Rapids Plungers (122.80) vs Sportsfreak (79.49)
Rapids Plungers (6-3) was able to break out of their 3 game slide with a big win here against Sportsfreak (4-5). Rapids Plungers actually hadn’t been playing that bad these past three weeks they just ran into teams at the wrong times but this time they were able to come away with the relatively easy win. When I looked at this game in the preview it felt like a bunch of back up type of guys and if one of them got hot it could be the difference and that turned out to be the case as T. Dell (28.83) and LV D (19) had way over their projected points this week and you couple that with the fact that J Herbert (3.85) and T Hill (9.30) had off games for Sportsfreak it is easy to see why Rapids Plungers got their 6th win. At 4-5, Sportsfreak is going to need to start getting some wins if they want to get back to the playoffs for the first time in 5 seasons!
Starrfavrerodg (144.42) vs PackerFANatic7 (100.95)
Don’t look now but Starrfavrerodg (5-4) is on a roll! They have won three straight games to put them back over the .500 mark and if the season where to end today they would be the last team in for the playoffs! The thing that they have to feel even better about is that their offense has really showed up these last two weeks having scored an average of 155 points. It really has been a true team effort as each person has been chipping in. This week they had 8 of their 11 positions scoring in double figures and last week they had 7 of their 11 positions scoring in double figures. The point behind this is that it hasn’t been one guy scoring 40 the last two weeks and that has been the difference but scoring like this makes you hopeful it can continue week to week. PackerFANatic7 (2-7) did something they haven’t done all season and that is having back to back games scoring 100 points. They have worked hard to put together a roster that can compete and even though it seems like the playoffs are out of reach this season they will no doubt be putting the best team possible on the field this week AND yes a record of 7-7 could still get in but let’s call them getting really slim!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
