Bossman (148.94) vs BIGBOY! (105.30)
Bossman has done it yet again and they will be going back to the Super Bowl for the 4th time in the last 5 years! What an incredible last 5 years this team has had! It is one that I find hard to to believe we may see again anytime soon and it’s not even over yet! This will be the 7th total Super Bowl appearance for Bossman and their 18th year in the league! Like I said, the level of consistency and success in getting to the Super Bowl may not be repeated for a very long time, if ever! Bossman knows how to get to a new level when playoff time comes and that’s exactly what they did this week as the 1498 points was the most they have scored in over a month! It started with a 34 point game from Nacua and they never looked back as they had C. Lamb (23.83) and J. Hurts (23.29) step up and play solid games to help lead them to a somewhat easy win in this one. BIGBOY! had another solid season and they did the most important thing really well this year and that was finding ways to win. They found ways to win in the regular season and found a way to get a win in the post season before they fell a little flat this week. The glaring weakness this week was the play of their WR’s as Kupp / Waddle / D. London combined for 16 points while Bossman’s trio of WR’s scored 60 for a difference of 46 points and how much did BIGBOY! lose by? 43! BIGBOY! now will be left like the other 12 teams trying to figure out a way to get the big dance next season!
Pack Attack (155.70) vs Rapids Plungers (104.58)
Pack Attack makes it back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2016 season. Oddly enough, that was the last time Pack Attack had the #1 pick and also the last time that Pack Attack made the playoffs. It has been a long time coming but they are finally back and ready to compete for a championship. This one started out good for Pack Attack as all of their players that played on either Thursday or Saturday out performed projection and really set them up with a nice lead going into Sunday. Things seemed a little dicey as both K. Allen and M. Pittman were ruled out but other players stepped up and Pack Attack was still able to put up a strong 155 point effort.
Rapids Plungers had another really strong season! This is a team that always seems to put themselves in a position to win each and every year and this was no different. They had CMC on their roster and he alone makes you scared if you are the opponent come playoff time. He had another solid game (25.87) but they needed a lot more from Diggs (7.05) and D Samuel (6.82) to try and keep up this week and they never got it. Rapids Plungers will no doubt be back and ready to fight for another championship next season!
So that means that the Super Bowl is set and it doesn’t get much better then Bossman vs Pack Attack!
