Pack Attack (154.16) vs Rapids Plungers (102.05)
Pack Attack (8-5) gets another HUGE win this week as they take down Rapids Plungers (8-5) to win their 2nd in a row. Neither team was at full strength going into the matchup due to bye weeks and injuries but Rapids Plungers got hit hard during the game as their rookie sensation T. Dell fractured his Fibula early in the game. Not only did it affect this weeks game but it also hurts this team as we are entering into the playoffs. These two teams sit at #2 and #3 in the standings as of now but they both are still not locked into the playoffs. A lot at stake next week.
16hrs Ahead of You!! (130.52) vs Starrfavrerodg (104.66)
This 16hrs (6-7) team came into this week really struggling as they had lost 3 in a row to all but end their playoff hopes. However, don’t tell them that as they weren’t officially eliminated going into the game and they came out and had their best game since week 7! While they are now officially eliminated from playoff contention despite the win they still have a chance to finish at .500 with a win next week. This one hurts for Starrfavrerodg as they fall to 7-6 on the season. You won’t win many games when you have 4 positions that fail to score 1 point on the week and one of those actually gave them a negative point total (Dallas D). They now leave themselves in a must win scenario and needing some help come next week if they want to get back to the playoffs.
PackerFANatic7 (143.11) vs Big Papa (97.34)
Too little, much too late is what PackerFANatic7 has to be thinking as they get win # 5 on the season and really over the past 4 weeks there probably isn’t a team that has been playing better then them. They have averaged 141 ppg during this time and really seem like they have finally found a roster that can compete on a weekly basis. Big Papa falls to 5-8 on the season and is now in danger of falling completely out of even the consolation bracket. This was a tough week for them with 3 of their top players on a bye. They will look to finish the season strong next week.
DaUnderdog (122.86) vs BIGBOY! (68.88)
DaUnderdog comes away with the MONSTER win in this one as not only do they stay in playoff positioning but they also pushed BIGBOY! down below them. DaUnderdog (8-5) has won 4 of their last 5 games to put themselves in a position now where they have everything in front of them going into the final week of the season. D. Prescott has been on fire and J Mixon (24.98) got things going this week. Next week is going to be fun. For BIGBOY! they fall to 8-5 on the season and I have mentioned numerous times my concerns I had with this team and well… in a game that they could have sealed the deal and moved into the #1 overall spot in the league they put up the 2nd lowest point total of the week and their lowest of the season. The bigger issue here is that the loss drops this team down to the # 5 spot and another loss next week and this team likely missed the playoffs altogether. There’s the bad but lets also mention the good news if you are a BIGBOY! fan. This team like DaUnderdog has everything out in front of them yet. A win next week and they are in and could even be in line for a first round bye. Next week is going to be huge!
pack slayer (131.60) vs Bossman (115.27)
There was some big wins last week by playoff hopeful teams but given the fact that pack slayer won’t win many tie breaker scenarios and the fact that they were playing the #1 team in the league AND they came into this one on a 4 game losing streak… yeah this was probably the biggest win of the week by any team. pack slayer got 24 points from newly acquired J Conner to lead the team and finished things off last night with a 19 point effort by E Engram. The win moves them to 8-5 and the #6 seed. Now it is simple for them in the final week. You win and you are in! Bossman falls to 8-5 after losing their 3rd in a row! Yes, you read that right! 3 in a row! This was the team that 4 weeks ago put up 197 points and it really just looked like a matter of time before they were competing in another Super Bowl. Since that time they have lost 3 straight games and with one week remaining they have yet to clinch a playoff spot. That’s actually quite shocking. To make matters worse they got dinged up quite a bit this week as they had 3 players go out of the lineup due to injury. Two of them (Brian Robinson and C Kirk) seem like injuries that could keep them both out for next weeks game and potentially more. The one thing Bossman is lacking is depth so any injuries now really hurt their chances come playoff time.
Sportsfreak (126.88) vs HHH (67.54)
I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago but this Sportsfreak team (7-6) is coming on strong as they get another win this week to move to 7-6 on the season and give themselves a shot at the playoffs with a win next week. This team if they get in would be one of those teams that no one wants to face. They have a really strong lineup from top to bottom and a ultimate home run hitter in T Hill that can singlehandedly win you a week. They get to go up against DaUnderdog next week in what should be one of the better games of the week. HHH (1-12) got the win last week and that was really their Super Bowl. While I don’t see them quitting they just don’t have a roster that is going to be able to compete on many weeks. One more week left for them and they can turn their sights on next year.
teamAlaska (121.72) vs U Don’t Know (79.96)
I mentioned how no one would want to play Sportsfreak if they are able to make it into the playoffs but the exact same thing could be said for teamAlaska as they move to 7-6 on the season and have now won 5 of their last 6 games to put themselves in this position where with one week left they have a shot at a playoff berth! Over the last 6 weeks they haven’t been dominate but they have been amazingly consistent. The have scored no lower then 110 points and no higher then 135 points during that span including two 110 point performance and two 113 point performances. They lost J Burrow a couple of weeks ago and you thought maybe that was going to put this team down but instead they have been led by J Love who has been performing really well for them! It’s now a one week season and they need to take down Pack Attack next week if they want a shot at the playoffs! U Don’t Know had some good moments this season but in the end their combo of Mahomes / Chase just never really lived up to expectation. They fall to 5-8 on the season and will be looking to play the role of spoiler next week against a desperate Starrfavrerodg team.
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
