BIGBOY! (6-4) vs Pack Attack (2-8)
BIGBOY! comes into this matchup riding high as they have not lost a game in a month and a half! This run has put them in strong contention for not only the playoffs but also a potential first round bye. With 4 weeks to go if they can keep things rolling this team is well on their way to the playoffs and a strong playoff seed! They go up against the 2 win Pack Attack team so getting to 7 wins should be easy! No pressure!

16hrs Ahead of You!! (7-3) vs Rapids Plungers (5-5)
We have 5 really good games this week and this is definitely one of the better ones. Both teams however come into this one struggling a bit. 16hrs has lost two straight games after starting out the season at 7-1 while Rapids Plungers has two of their last three but really has been struggling to find points since week 6. While this is a big game for both teams, given their records and upcoming schedule it is a bit more important to Rapids Plungers. Can Rapids Plungers do what they have seemed to always do in years past and find a way to win some of these ugly games or will 16hrs find a way to stop their two game losing streak and in the meantime put a major dent in Rapids Plungers playoff hopes!?
Prediction:
16hrs has 4 Tampa Bay players on their roster and they are all on a bye this week a long with K. Murray while Rapids Plungers doesn’t have anyone of note on a bye this week so they look to be at full strength. With that said, they still are projected below 100 points and as of this writing both teams are. These type of games are where you just need one or two guys to have that 30 point outburst or maybe a D player can get you 20 to really make up the difference. I think I agree with the Yahoo projections and don’t see a lot points in this one but looking at the “star” players for both teams I do like Rapids Plungers potential for one of them to get to 20 to 25 points and that is probably all that is needed. I am going with Rapids Plungers to get another win in ugly fashion! One Caveat is that I am assuming Nico Collins plays. If not, then I would pick 16hrs to win.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 14
- Record: Advantage Rapids Plungers at 11-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage Rapids Plungers 112.66 to 96.85
Big Papa (4-6) vs HHH (3-7)
This game couldn’t come soon enough for these two teams! Why? Well because one of them has to win the game. Both of these teams have been horrible the past 7 weeks as they have a combined record of 2-12! Crazy enough with a win here Big Papa has a realistic shot at the playoffs! HHH hasn’t yet been eliminated and with a win they would technically keep their ever so slim playoff hopes alive but at this point I think both of these teams are just wanting to get that win and try to push their way out of the bottom of the standings.
Prediction:
This feels like two teams that are struggling and really feels like another one of those games where the first to 100 wins! I am not yet sure how HHH will fill out their roster as they have one of their better players in M. Nabers on a bye this week. I am going to go with Big Papa to find a way to win and keep their playoff hopes alive! Interestingly enough these two teams have played about as even as you could be through 22 games (see below)! This is the tie breaker game!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 22
- Record: Tied at 11-11
- PPG Avg: Advantage HHH 117.46 to 113.28
Bossman (6-4) vs PackerFANatic7 (5-5)
I mentioned we have some good games this week but there are two games that stand out and this is one of them. Bossman lost for the first time in 4 weeks to a hot BIGBOY! team and now they go up against a PackerFANatic7 team that is also on a hot streak having won three straight games. Not only have they won three straight but prior to that the previous three weeks (all losses) they averaged a solid 128 points. So luck had not been on their side! A win here against Bossman will likely catapult them up in the standings as they have the 2nd most points scored in the league. Bossman isn’t far behind them in points and obviously a game ahead of them in the win column but they want to keep it that way and being up by 2 games on a team that looks like they could be tough to beat would be huge for Bossman and their run towards another title!
Prediction:
Anytime you players like J. Allen and J. Jefferson on your team you have a shot as they could each go off for 30 points at anytime. However, Allen is up against a tough KC defense and the QB for the Vikings is struggling to throw the ball lately which really hurts J. Jefferson’s upside in this one! I do like JSN and J. Jennings in that game but overall I really like PackerFANatic7 and their team this week. L. Jackson is having another MVP type of season but outside of that they just have an overall really solid team. J. Taylor feels on the verge of a monster game and maybe this is the week? Not to mention, they have Shakir and right now he seems to be Allen’s favorite receiver so it wouldn’t be crazy to see Shakir come close to Allen’s point total in this one. I like PackerFANAtic7 to get win #4 in a row!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 7
- Record: Advantage PackerFANatic7 at 4-3
- PPG Avg: Advantage PackerFANatic7 119.92 to 117.70
DaUnderdog (6-4) vs teamAlaska (4-6)
teamAlaska is coming into this one off a huge win last week to keep their playoff hopes alive. They are hoping they can keep that momentum going this week against a DaUnderdog squad that suddenly is feeling some pressure to win a game and avoid falling out of the playoffs altogether! That is crazy to think as just a month ago this team was undefeated and things were looking so good. 4 weeks later they have lost 4 straight and have failed to score 100 points in their last three games. This is a big one for both teams!
Prediction:
This is a tough one to pick as I just saw J. Chase last week go for 62 points. I am not expecting that type of outcome this week but can he do 1/2 of that this week? Yes of course he can but I don’t think he will. So far this year after big games he has followed those up with “Ok” games so I am going to go with 20 or less points. Achane and Stroud should have nice games however and that will keep teamAlaska in this one but I think DaUnderdog finally finds a way to get win #7 on the season in what could easily come down to the Monday nighter!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 20
- Record: Advantage DaUnderdog at 14-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage DaUnderdog 112.13 to 97.79
Pack slayer (6-4) vs Sportsfreak (6-4)
I mentioned in an earlier preview that there were two games I was most interested in this week and this might be the #1 game and game of the week! Over the past 5 weeks these two teams have a combined record of 8-2! Neither team started out the season very strong but they have really come on down the stretch here and both teams now not only have a great chance at the playoffs but are in the mix for a first round bye! This is a big game as a win here and you probably just need one more win out of your next three to get into the playoffs while a loss and you may have to win 2 of your next three to get in.
Prediction:
This is a close one and I don’t have a strong conviction one way or the other but because I need to make a pick here is what I am thinking. I expect Sportsfreak to jump out to an early lead and when the afternoon games are done on Sunday they will be up by 12 points thanks to a big game from DK Metcalf! They will add another 6 points from their kicker on Sunday night which means they will be up by 18 going into Sunday night. pack slayer will have three players (Mixon, J. Tolbert and D. Schultz) remaining while Sportsfreak will have C. Lamb. I like Mixon to bridge the 18 point gap and then Schultz and Tolbert to narrowly outscore Lamb. pack slayer by 4 points! Which if this were to happen it would be fitting given how close these two teams have been over their 14 matchups (see below)!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 14
- Record: Tied at 7-7
- PPG Avg: Advantage Sportsfreak 117.09 to 116.81
U Don’t Know (5-5) vs Starrfavrerodg (5-5)
We have two teams here that of the potential playoff teams we really haven’t talked about them much as they have both been neither good nor bad and just have been hanging around as average teams most of the year. U Don’t Know has showed some signs however as they have won 5 of their last 7 games. Starrfavrerodg wins some and then they lose some. They have had two, two game winning streaks and a three game losing streak but over all have just hovered around that .500 mark all season. This is a big one for both teams as a win here and they keep their playoff hopes very much alive and an outside shot they could put themselves into the top 6. A loss doesn’t mean their playoff hopes are gone but it does mean the next three games are a lot harder and possibly a bit more stressful!
Prediction:
I like Starrfavrerodg in this one. Hurts has been playing outstanding the last 4 weeks, Nacua seems to be back to his old self and Ridley has been great since D. Hopkins departure. I also just don’t like some of the matchups for guys like D. Henry and Mahomes this week. Starrfavrerodg should get win # 6 in this one!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 4
- Record: Tied at 2-2
- PPG Avg: Advantage Starrfavrerodg 134.94 to 131.89
