Bossman (141.49) vs Pack Attack (82.81)
You know there once was a day that this was one of the better rivalry’s in the league but to be a rivalry both teams need to put up a fight! This has become a little bit like the Packers / Bears so called rivalry where Pack Attack is the Bears (always losing) and Bossman is the Packers/Packers QB (owner of the Bears). Bossman moves to 6-3 on the season and now has won 4 straight games after starting out the season at 2-3! It looks like another year that they will be fighting for championship!
Sportsfreak (138.83) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (136.45)
WOW! What a game this one turned out to be! Going into the Monday night matchup 16hrs had a 4 point lead with C. Otton remaining to play while Sportsfreak had D. Hopkins left. Otton has been playing outstanding since the injuries to Godwin / Evans and Hopkins is seemingly still learning the KC system. It went back and forth as both Hopkins (24.30) and Otton (17.85) had really good games. The real football game was also a good game! Tampa had the ball at the 2 yard line with 30 seconds left and down by 7. Mayfield does a play action pass and has Otton open for an easy TD but he underthrows him (7 points that 16hrs missed out on) and the next play he throws a TD pass to a rookie wideout Ryan Miller. The game goes to OT and Hopkins gets one grab for 15 yards while KC marches down the field for a walk off TD and Otton never gets a chance to score! That’s a heartbreaking way to lose but a thrilling way to win! Congratulations to Sportsfreak as they move to 5-4 on the season and now have won 3 of their last 4 games. They have been playing really well and now get the easy win in Pack Attack next week! This is a team to watch out for! 16hrs Ahead of You! saw their 5 game winning streak come to an end and falls to 7-2 on the season. Despite the loss however they have to still feel pretty good about their team as they remain a full game ahead of everyone else in the league and despite the loss they still put up a solid 136 points. They will be fine!
U Don’t Know (126.56) vs Big Papa (91.83)
U Don’t Know with the the big win this week to move to 4-5 on the season and keep within shouting distance of the top 6! In doing so, they also broke their two game winning streak and took down a team that was at the time a game ahead of them in the standings! Big Papa falls to 4-5 on the season and has now lost 5 of their last 6 games. Going into the Monday night game this one had the potential to be a come down to the wire type of game as Big Papa had X. Worthy and U Don’t Know had Patrick Mahomes but Mahomes scored 24.42 and X. Worthy scored a whopping -0.67 points and this one was never really close. Both teams are now at the same 4-5 record and will be looking to make a playoff push in these final 5 games of the regular season!
BIGBOY! (147.96) vs HHH (126.29)
BIGBOY! is on a ROLL and has now went from an 0-4 start to the season to win 5 straight games and if the playoffs started today they would be the #5 seed! That’s an impressive turnaround! What I like most about this is how the team has played the last two weeks as they have scored 163 and 147! You are going to win most of your games when you are scoring like that. I have mentioned it in the past but one way that you can get a leg up on your competition in a deep 14 team league like ours is to find that D player that is going to go off and have a big game! This is a classic example where BIGBOY! picks up T. Hendrickson on Friday evening. Hendrickson goes out and puts up a ridiculous 32 point game. BIGBOY! won this week by 21 points. You do the math but that tells me that without this pickup and him having a monster game BIGBOY! loses. How many of you would have liked to get 14 or more points from the D position this week? Yeah… me too. There were 24 guys in Free Agency that did just that this week. They are out there… question is will you find them! Nice work BIGBOY in doing just that! HHH had the type of week I thought they would and the reason why I picked them to win. They fall to 3-6 and now have very little room for error entering the final month of the season!
Rapids Plungers (89.28) vs DaUnderdog (85.30)
There was a lot of really good games this week and this wasn’t one of them! I guess you could call it a good game considering how close the final score ended up being but winning by scoring only 89 points is usually not the most exciting game! However, on the flip side winning these type of games that Rapids Plungers just did usually go a long ways toward making or missing the playoffs especially when you are hovering at .500. Rapids Plungers moved to 5-4 but lost both Prescott and Olave to injury this week! It is going to be a challenge for this team over the next 5 weeks to get some wins and stay in playoff position! DaUnderdog has now lost 3 straight games after starting out the season at 6-0! This was a tough one as the win was there for the taking! One small switch and DaUnderdog wins.. start S. Darnold (18.73) for the hated MN Vikings over J. Love (5.46) and they win. No Packers fan makes that decision but hey.. it would have meant a win this week!
Starrfavrerodg (120.92) vs pack slayer (114.56)
Starrfavrerodg with the huge win this week to move to 4-5 on the season and keep their playoff hopes very much alive! I picked Starrfavrerodg to win but I actually figured this was going to be a bit lower scoring! Hurts (27.07) led the way for Starrfavrerodg and they got outstanding production from three positions that are hard to count on and that is they got a total of 37.55 points from their K, D and DEF positions! It’s the little things that get you wins in this league! pack slayer falls to 5-4 on the season and saw their 3 game winning streak come to an end! They didn’t play horribly but I bet they are regretting the decision to bench K. Hunt (19.62) in favor of D. Montgomery (9.02). Hunts TD in OT last night would have given pack slayer the dramatic win but instead he was just chillin on their bench! That’s one that could come back to haunt you as the season goes on!
PackerFANatic7 (168.84) vs teamAlaska (102.23)
I mentioned it last week about PackerFANatic7 being extremely unlucky so far this season as it relates to wins and losses but these past two weeks they have been making sure that they go out and put up so many points they won’t have to worry about it! They outperformed last weeks “best performance of the season” by putting up 168 points! The L. Jackson (23.87) / Z. Flowers (28.35) connection is looking really solid and then they added another 38.4 points from their DEF and D positions that will make for a really good day! They move their record to 4-5 on the season and given their amount of points scored they would win most of the tiebreakers. This is a team on the rise for sure! teamAlaska falls to 3-6 on the season and is pushing Pack Attack for that last place finish. They have lost three of their last four and yes the playoffs are not out of the question but they really haven’t been showing much fight this last month to lead me to believe they have a playoff type of run in them! If they do, it will have to start next week against Big Papa!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
