BIGBOY! (147.26) vs Bossman (125.75)
What a game as BIGBOY! takes down the #1 overall seed and reigning champ to advance to their 3rd Super Bowl! BIGBOY! started off fast and didn’t let up! BIGBOY! had a big lead going into the Sunday afternoon games but most of Bossman’s big guns were remaining such as J. Allen, J. Jefferson, James, Cook and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Things got tighter as Jefferson (34.20), Cook (27.97) and JSN (19.08) had nice games but the big let down this week was J. Allen (9.08) who picked a bad time to have one of his worst fantasy outings of the season. BIGBOY! got nice games from J. Conner (25.25), AJ Brown (19.45) and yes I hate to say it but B. Purdy (22.99). One of the more glaring misses though in this matchup is a place where Bossman usually excels and that is those positions that are tough to get right. The K, D and DEF. This week it was BIGBOY! outperforming Bossman by 19.75 points in those three positions and that was just about the difference in the score. Another great season for Bossman but they have to feel like they let one slip away on them with the season and team they have! It is hard to win a championship much less back to back ones but their success over the past 5+ years has been outstanding! See you next year Bossman! Congratulations BIGBOY! and we will see you in the Super Bowl next week!
Sportsfreak (156.83) vs pack slayer (134.45)
What a win and what a season thus far for Sportsfreak! It had been 6 seasons since they had made the playoffs coming into this year but they are coming back with a vengeance! They put up another monster game this week and their team seems to be peaking at the perfect time. They had such a well rounded game from all of their players this week and that is exactly the type of production you are looking for. They had all but two players score in double figures this week and got a crazy 25 points from their DEF team! This is a team that has a lot of consistent players and that is why they are moving on to their 3rd ever Super Bowl berth! For pack slayer, they played a solid game it just wasn’t enough this week. C. Kupp and T. Hill once again disappointed and add to it that J. Mixon had his worst fantasy game of the season and you can easily see why pack slayer is not moving on. Hubbard (36.78) and their kicker J. Sanders (23.70) did their best to keep them in the game but in the end it wasn’t enough. Their solid season ends and they now will be left playing for third place next week. Congratulations Sportsfreak and we will see you also in the Super Bowl next week!
