2. 16hrs Ahead of You!!

Now that you know the playoff scenarios let’s get to the previews.

PackMan12 (5-5) vs Pack Attack (4-6)

PackMan12 has lost three of their last 4 games and are now going to need to get on a bit of a winning streak here these last three weeks or there solid start to the season might be all for nothing. They do get Pack Attack this week and then PackerFANatic7 in two weeks who are both at the bottom of the standings so they should be a good bet to find two wins out of the next three but will that be enough? Pack Attack right now is playing this one game at a time and trying to play the role of spoiler! A loss here by PackMan12 would be tough to overcome!

HHH (6-4) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (1-9)

HHH got the huge win last week and they will be looking to build some momentum against the “right now” last place team in the league. I say right now because I have been bashing on this team most of the year (rightfully so they have only won 1 game). However, I would like to commend their coach as they have not given up like in years past when guys would be in the starting lineup and on a bye! This certainly has added to the competition this year and maybe it is because everyone is scared of what that last place trophy might be! Either way, nice job staying engaged 16hrs and there is still 3 games left to pull yourself out of the bottom. HHH is looking at this game I am sure as a must win. They do not want to be in a position where it comes down to the last week and they need a win as they play Rapids Plungers to close out the season.

Wow! This is a tough week for HHH as they are hit hard with bye weeks. They will be without AJ Brown, A. Jones & D. Adams this week and these three guys have account for 27% of their scoring on the year. They also are without their K, and D player but those are replaceable parts so to speak so I am not counting them in the numbers. Either way though that is a big blow to HHH. 16hrs will be without their starting RB in D. Freeman but outside of that they look to have a full roster. This one is going to be interesting. You know what… I haven’t picked 16hrs to win much and I was talking about them staying engaged all season… I am going to go with them to be rewarded this week and get the upset along with their 2nd win of the season!

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 16
  • Record: Tied at 8-8
  • PPG Avg: Advantage 16hrs Ahead of You!! 106.04 to 100.37

Big Papa (6-4) vs Sportsfreak (3-7)

I wish this game had a little more meaning and by that I mean I wish that Sportsfreak team was fighting for a playoff spot the same way that Big Papa is as this Father – Son meeting would be that much more interesting. As it stands however, Sportsfreak will be looking to do something they haven’t done all season which is win back to back games while Big Papa will be looking to continue their hot streak and win their 3rd in a row. This is the game that Big Papa wants as I mentioned last week they have the toughest remaining final two games (Rapids Plungers and pack slayer). Sportsfreak with a win here could potentially be the game Big Papa looks back and realizes was the one that pushed them out of the playoffs. So can they pull off the upset?

You know what.. I think they can! It goes against my better judgement to start out the week by picking two big upsets but I think it is there for the taking for Sportsfreak. I expect Mahomes to have a big game for Big Papa but I expect Kelce to be one of the beneficiary’s and have a big game himself. Here is what I am thinking needs to happen for Sportsfreak to win: L. Jackson needs to finish within 10 points of Mahomes score, M. Mack needs to score a TD, Guice / McLaurin need to combine for 25 pts. I think all of those three things happen and that is how Sportsfreak pulls off the upset.

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 18
  • Record: Advantage Sportsfreak at 12-6
  • PPG Avg: Advantage Sportsfreak 119.16 to 109.32

BIGBOY! (3-7) vs PackerFANatic7 (2-8)

It’s the toilet bowl game! Wait, I guess not quite but there is only three people that care about this game. The coaches of these two teams and 16hrs Ahead of you! as I am sure they will be BIGBOY’s biggest fan this week as they look to try and get themselves out of that last place!

BIGBOY’s entire team is seemingly questionable to play which makes picking a winner here a bit difficult but I guess I am going with BIGBOY! to win only because it would make the last two weeks more interesting watching PackerFANatic7 and 16hrs battling it out for last place!

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 2
  • Record: Advantage BIGBOY! at 2-0
  • PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 146.38 to 92.53

Bossman (8-2) vs U Don’t Know (5-5)

Here is a game with serious playoff implications on the line. Bossman has won six straight games and they are just waiting for Rapids Plungers to slip up and try to take over that #1 spot with three weeks remaining. U Don’t Know has struggled these last two weeks and really had a forgettable week last week as they only scored 79pts in a loss. They are still right in the thick of the playoff race however they can’t afford to many more games like last week if they expect to get in. A win here would be huge in not only getting to the playoffs but also giving them some confidence if they do get in that they can play with the Big dogs! For Bossman, I mentioned the #1 seed but also there is a team lurching right behind them in pack slayer who is waiting for Bossman to slip up and they then could come in and take over that first round bye. A lot at stake these next two weeks. The playoffs are a given but that first round bye is huge!

I build up the game and I am excited to review the lineups to see who might win and if U Don’t Know could pull off the upset… Then I see that U Don’t Know has Rodgers, J. Graham, DK Metcalf and S. Barkley on a bye and it instantly loses a bit of the hype. That has got to be disappointing for U Don’t Know in what is one of their biggest games of the season. They will run with what they have and give it their best shot I just don’t see it being close to enough. I think Bossman wins this one in a blowout!

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 12
  • Record: Advantage Bossman at 7-5
  • PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 130.08 to 117.44

pack slayer (7-3) vs DaUnderdog (6-4)

Game of the week! It would sure seem like it as you have pack slayer coming into this one riding a 4 game winning streak and looking like a true championship contending team. You have DaUnderdog who has had their name floated around as one of the best teams in the league but just can’t seem to get over that proverbial hump and solidify themselves as a true contender. They had won three in a row and a win last week over Rapids Plungers probably would have put them in that category of Contender but they couldn’t get it done. They have a chance this week against another one of the best teams in the league. Can they get it done this week?

I don’t think so. Much like a couple of other teams this week they are getting hit extremely hard with bye weeks. This week DaUnderdog will be without their two top performers in R. Wilson and T. Lockett. I think that is going to be far too much for them to overcome and I expect pack slayer to roll easily to their 5th win in a row!

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 8
  • Record: Advantage pack slayer at 5-3
  • PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 115.85 to 102.21

Rapids Plungers (9-1) vs teamAlaska (5-5)

Another big game for both teams but for different reasons. Rapids Plungers is trying to hold off Bossman and to some extent pack slayer who combined they have won 10 straight games. teamAlaska has one of the toughest if not the toughest remaining schedule. This is a huge game for them as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games. A win here however against the top team in the league would go a long way towards a potential playoff berth and not to mention confidence if these two teams were to meet again come playoff time. A lot at stake in this one which makes it one of the most intriguing games of the week. So who wins?

I think teamAlaska has a shot to pull off the upset here. They have a couple of guys capable of putting up big points which will be needed if they want come away with the win. I just can’t pick the upset however. While teamAlaska has a couple of players capable of big games, Rapids Plungers has an entire team capable of this which I will say it again makes them so dangerous! teamAlaska has the ultimate weapon however in C. McCaffrey who can virtually by himself win games. I think this one ends up being close and teamAlaska puts up a fight but in the end I can’t pick against Rapids Plungers. Rapids wins this one in a shootout, 155 to 145.

Historical Look at this Match-Up:

  • Regular Season Match-ups: 11
  • Record: Advantage Rapids Plungers at 6-5
  • PPG Avg: Advantage Rapids Plungers 114.13 to 112.41
