Bossman (93.72) vs Pack Attack (88.50)
Sometimes winning ugly or winning games while not scoring 100 points end up being some of the most important wins of the season. That is exactly what happened this week for Bossman as they had their worst scoring week of the year and still found a way to get the W to move to 3-1 on the season. This one came down to the Monday night game as Pack Attack needed 7.23 points from their Kicker (D. Carlson) to win. The lowest output for D. Carlson all year has been 11.90 points. D. Carlson got 2 points and missed a 52 yarder in this one as Pack Attack falls to an ugly 1-3 on the season! I am not bitter or anything!
BIGBOY! (142.01) vs 16hrs Ahead of You!! (98.66)
And now there is only one! One Undefeated team that is as BIGBOY! left no doubt who the best team in the league is through 4 weeks of the season. They did it in convincing fashion by beating 16hrs (3-1) by 44 points! 16hrs still has had a great start to the season and will be looking to move past this loss quickly. For BIGBOY! what might be more impressive then their 4-0 start is the fact that they just won their last two games without C. McCaffrey and when he comes back to full strength this team is going to be that much tougher to beat!
Starrfavrerodg (118.66) vs Big Papa (109.52)
I briefly mentioned how similar the season had been for these two teams from a points scored perspective so it was only fitting that this one ended up being the closes game of the week. For the 4th week in a row the game for Starrfavrerodg came down to the Monday night matchup. This time I am sure they weren’t too worried as the only remaining player Big Papa had was J. Cook and Starrfavrerodg had a 24.64 point lead going into the game. However there was a reason Big Papa drafted J. Cook in the second round as the 20th overall selection in the draft. It was exactly for times like these! Unfortunately, for Big Papa J. Cook was only able to put up 15.50 points leading to the loss! Big Papa falls to 1-3 on the season while Starrfavrerodg seems to be gaining some momentum moving back to .500 with back to back wins!
DaUnderdog (149.06) vs U Don’t Know (134.02)
When you are the reigning champ, you get everyone’s best shot and that once again was true this week as DaUnderdog (3-1) had their best week of the season in keeping U Don’t Know winless (0-4)! U Don’t Know has had the most points scored against them through 4 weeks and they have been in every game except for week 1. This is a proud team and I expect better days ahead for them. For DaUnderdog, they are off to one of their better starts in recent memory and have now won three straight games after starting the season out with a loss. They had three guys really carry the team this week as S. Darnold (33.35), D. Henry (29.47) and D. Montgomery (24.07) all had solid games in leading them to the win. They will be looking to keep the momentum going next week as they go up against Pack Attack in an interesting brother battle game!
teamAlaska (122.74) vs HHH (73.93)
Of all the scores this week this game being so lopsided was the one I felt the most surprised about. teamAlaska (2-2) came out on a mission to make sure they didn’t lose to both of their brothers they have to see on a daily basis and made sure they can at least have some bragging rights. This one really wasn’t close as teamAlaska got 23 points from their D and then another 30 points from D. Prescott. HHH (2-2) lost DJ Chark for the season due to injury which is a tough blow for a team that doesn’t have a lot of WR depth. teamAlaska will be looking to put together back to back wins for the first time all season as they go up against pack slayer next week.
pack slayer (155.50) vs Sportsfreak (99.27)
If you keep putting up the amount of points that pack slayer has been it is just a matter of time before the wins start coming. pack slayer again put up solid points on their way to their 2nd win of the season. This is the time of the year however where sometimes the teams wins or losses are not the greatest indicator of the teams long term outlook but rather looking at the points scored may tell us a better picture. That is good news for pack slayer as despite their 2-2 record they have scored the most points in the league through 4 weeks which means if they start adding some more wins they will move quickly up the standings! Sportsfreak’s rough start to the season continues as they fall to 1-3 on the season and really didn’t put up much of a fight in this one. The season is still young but falling into too deep of a hole is going to be tough to dig themselves out of. The next couple of weeks will be critical for Sportsfreak and really all of those teams sitting at 1-3 or worst.
PackerFANatic7 (161.64) vs Rapids Plungers (141.30)
I talked a little about how Bossman was able to get a ugly win and how important those wins can be when we start talking playoffs and playoff positioning. The same can be said for wins like this for PackerFANatic7 as they had the highest scoring week and only beat their opponent by 20 points. This one was closer then it seemed too as Rapids Plungers had the lead going into the monday night game but then Ekeler (29.20) took over for PackerFANatic7 leading them to their 2nd win of the season. Rapids Plungers falls to 2-2 on the season but like I mentioned when talking about pack slayer in the recap above. Rapids Plungers despite only two wins on the season has been playing well and in fact they have the 2nd most points scored right behind pack slayer so a couple of wins and they will be jumping quickly in the standings!
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a great week!
